I dont mind colors. LP's posts are always a delight to read. Cynthia is in a soft blue and she comes up with some insightful stuff. Others also posts in colors... but its all one color. An occasional bold for emphasis is ok with me too.

But when the font is as huge as an oak.. or it goes from 9 to 1 then back to 9 again.... ugh. My eyes are bad enough!

~I hope I did successfully convey my annoyance with the exclamation mark~

I actually like when some posters have specific colors. It makes their posts instantly recognizable.

The big as an oak thing? It was like someone just shouted in my ear. Now it feels like she keeps poking my arm, going, "but, but, but." I can't even imagine what her communication is like face to face.

my mother's side of the family has migraines and then i have a light sensitive that causes migraines as well so when i get them they are really bad. there are meds out there to help but going to the doc is a thing to help but making her still go through is being an ass to say the least. this isn't healthy in any part. and im not talking about just the migraines

After viewing this thread from beginning to end, I think many have covered this topic nicely! My own opinion...

Migraines are horrible and I would never wish them on another soul!

Two, the OP has more patience then I do concerning this matter! Good job!

This patr doesn't make much sense to me

......She suffers from debilitating migraines and when she gets one, she still does what she is told to do, but when she is on a task.

is it is debilitating.... Then how is she able to do what she is told?

Aaas. But the one reads this...
quote:

she is winching and sighing as she does her work and this really annoys us.

clearly she isn't doing what she is told to do in the manner expected.

The solution is simple....

As the Queen of Hearts said 'Off with her head'!

Problem solved

Is that before or after we remove the head?

Tazzy gets my vote for SQotD for this one.

I agree 1000%, attempting to work through a migraine shows some serious dedication, especially on a first visit.

Do we have to make that decision right away? Im sure her head has some use.. eventually.

Well, tongues are attached to heads...and if naught else, there's usually at least one good thing a woman can think of that a man can do with his tongue....

Man, I know just where the OP is coming from.  When I was a kid I had a black lab that hunted birds with me.  After a few days in a row the pads of his feet would get raw and he'd still hunt, but he'd limp and whine and yelp once in a while, which was really annoying.  Took him right to the pound.  Of course, hunting wasn't nearly as enjoyable after that, but at least I didn't have to put up with all the whining and yelping.

This seems extremely strange. Counteract one pain with another? I'm starting to think this slave you have under consideration has a screw loose. Or she's pulling your leg. Or you're messing with the forum posters.

January

This whole conversation is ludicrous. I get migraines. I take Imitrex, it goes away within an hour.

I doubt that impact play or breast torture would help ANYONE with a migraine. In fact, I need to be alone in a dark room with one until the medication kicks in.

What selfish bullshit.

There are several things that don't add up here, red.  Imitrex doesn't work for everyone (I'm one of them).

Theoretically, because pain effects blood flow (whether through constriction or dilation), flogging/paddling *could* reverse that.  For example (this is highly simplistic, so medical people expand if you wish, but this isn't a scientific explaination), if the blood vessels are dilated (too large), not enough blood is flowing through, so the activity causes the blood flow to increase and thereby lessen the pain.  IN THEORY.  I have never tried it.

I will say this though.  If impact play or breast torture lessens the pain, so would running around the block, because it will have the same physical effect.

I've honestly never heard of using one pain to counteract another when it comes to migraines.

Once, i made the horrid choice of eating chinese food (fried rice) after i had believed that a migraine had passed, even though there was still some pressure in the temple area.

15 minutes later, i thought i was having a brain aneurysm.

While i was on my kitchen floor, literally writhing with pain, i remembered that salt constricts blood flow.

Me trying to counteract that pain would be like eating tons of sugar. Doesn't make sense.

I'm sure you meant, "...if the blood vessels are constricted (too small)..."

I mix up constriction and dilation all the time, hence the disclaimer, lol.

Me either, but I'm not willing to just completely dismiss it because I can see how it *might* work.  I'm not planning on trying it, but I won't dismiss it.
