Seventeen replies in a just short of an hour and a half.

If nothing else this thread has rank in that category. It would be hard to top really.

You know, my big soapbox is entitlement.....why is it so rampant and why do people think they're so freaking important that they're entitled to whatever it is that they want just because they want it? Someone comes on to a free site and willfully ignores the terms that they sign up under and gets cranky when they're spanked for it? Then they want to take action against the site for enforcing the rules? What. The. Hell.

I honestly can't believe that there are people out there that cannot tell a scammer from a real person who is interested in them. Really people?

JanahX -> RE: scammer (12/18/2011 11:03:36 AM)

Certainly you were around for the SOCK thread ...this one in comparison is pretty slow out the gate.

I want to know why CM doesnt do more to protect the general public from scammers. I saw earlier today that some one put up pics and names of scammers to help some of us but now CM has shut that person down. Every one I chatted with said it was something positive yet you shut them down. Why are you not helping us.

This is a bit like asking why doesn't Collarme supply us all with someone to wipe our arses after we go for a dump. I mean, look at all those subs and slaves advertising.

Think about it. Please.

Well sure there is a ton of replies, it's hard NOT to. You don't see stupidity and blindness this pronounced every day. You know how your 5 year old says he didn't eat the cookies, but he's got chocolate stains on his shirt...yeah, it's like that.  It's also kind of like looking at the accident you're driving by on the road or watching Two Girls, One Cup even after a friend told you how disgusting it is. There is something in human nature that makes us want to look at freaks and accidents and find out the truth when someone blatantly misrepresents it.

For God's sake the guy wants a submissive....! If anything people are warning away any potential women from getting hooked up with an imbecile.

He's looking to take part in a class action lawsuit against CM?  Good lord, what a fucking idiot.

If nothing else, none of us have class, so there's no standing.

Seriously, OP, your post is one of the dumbest I've ever seen.  And that's saying quite a bit.

1. You have no knowledge of how class action suits work.  There are very few attorneys that are able to bring them.  They bring them against tobacco companies, investment houses, etc.  In a word, money.  Collarme pays its bills, but that's it.  Most of the workers are volunteers.  No lawyer would take on such a major undertaking as a class action suit against a shallow-pocketed defendant.

2. You have just entered a site where the other posters enjoy the site.  And you asked us to help you in actions that would likely bring down that site.  Duh.

3. You have no case.  Your position is that collarme's actions to protect against scammers is inadequate.  In other words, that huge warning flag that states DO NOT SEND MONEY TO ONLINE PEOPLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES is not adequate.  And that by eliminating your declaration of who's a fake, collarme exposed other users to the predators.  Fella, just look at how many people viewed your profile prior to the elimination.  I assume it was ten or less.  Good luck making the case that any of those ten or less acted any differently, or that your listing was more useful as a deterrent than the warning flag.

4. OP, look.  You are 65 years old.  If you were dumb enough to believe an illiterate email from some gorgeous 20something slavegirl calling you master right off the bat, there's not much that could help you.

5. I have seen similar scammers on craigslist, and on other sites.  If collarme was the only site with this issue, you'd have a decent case, maybe.  But the fact that the infestation occurs elsewhere is an indication that countermeasures are ineffective.

"OP, look. You are 65 years old. If you were dumb enough to believe an illiterate email from some gorgeous 20something slavegirl calling you master right off the bat, there's not much that could help you. "

My buddy Jim said something to me about this. We saw on the TV a case on 60 minutes or something where a 20ish foxy one was going to marry a 70ish wrinkly one and he got scammed. He bought her furs, a car and all kinds of shit and when he was just about completely broke she simply took off. I said "What a scammin' bitch" or something like that. He said "I got no sympathy for the idiot, if he's that stupid at this age think of how he must have been younger".

Of course she was still a scammin' bitch, but I couldn't put up much of an argument.........

Lockit -> RE: scammer (12/18/2011 12:28:40 PM)

As a doctor, you advise patients on how to proceed in whatever health situation they are in. Are you responsible if they do not take your advice and end up with problems because of it? Shall we hold you responsible for their foolishness and sue you?

CM has advised everyone not to send money to anyone. If the members fail to follow this advice, then it is their own fault and no one should be responsible for their adult decision to be a fool with their money.

I would think as a doctor you would take issue with frivolous law suits and ignorant people making foolish choices as I am sure you have had to deal with these things... if you are a real doctor and not scamming us.

MadAxeman -> RE: scammer (12/18/2011 1:00:42 PM)

I'm a real doctor.
Take your clothes off.
You can place them on top of mine.

Say 'ah'

JstAnotherSub -> RE: scammer (12/18/2011 1:04:02 PM)

I saw the huge list of names you had posted as fakes, so I reported your profile.  It is silly and immature.  I hope mine is the one that got ya "shut down".

You are how old?

I'll take "People are morons for $500, Alex"

Lockit -> RE: scammer (12/18/2011 1:46:20 PM)

I found a couple of regular posters on some of those lists a long while back. I notified them and they were able to resolve the matter, but the fact is that someone put them on a list and others viewed that list and their reputation was possibly damaged. If blacklisting were allowed, I know I would have been on a lot of those lists. Hell, there are a few that have been attacking me because I said I didn't want to live my life exposed in journals, be with a man that was fucking all his friends and their family members and in love with a different woman by the week. They constantly attack me by name and other means, location, my mobile home, etc. I tend to laugh at their attempts to bully me like jr high school mean girls and slander me.

I really don't care, but if I were in a different place, I might care a lot!

There are many men that contact wanting blackmail or to pay me for something or other. They get off to this and if they didn't, or those that can't have a relationship of some means and are willing to pay... the pay me girls wouldn't be here. I don't see lists of men begging to be used, to pay or to get some service or the fools that buy into something without effort other than cash and I don't want to see lists. Not of the fools or those providing for them.

We are all adults here or should be. Take care of your own issues. Many of us are doing just fine without the assistance of tattling busy bodies that think adults need to be protected. If they need protection, maybe they need a guardian.

Casteele -> RE: scammer (12/18/2011 8:16:33 PM)

m00.

OP tried to scam CM using deceitful statements, so if CM ever does do a blacklist, please be sure to list him on it.

The c0w has sp0ken.

Good luck. The TOS he digitally signed exempts CM from such a lawsuit.
