Hello, has anyone here found a reputable web-site to provide complete criminal background checks?

Check your state bureau of investigation. I know TBI, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation allows background checks for $29

Not sure about Federal. Maybe your local police department can help you find a place that is reputable.

I did pull a report from the PA State Police but I have lived in 4 different states and the PASP say theri report is only good for the state of PA. They had no advice on how to get a complete national check.

If you do any number of "people" searches on yahoo (reverse phone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc.) you won't get much information but you will be bombarded with companies that will violate peoples' privacy for you for a fee.

Some of these companies are even international.

You can do your own on the FBI site.

You can't do anyone elses unless it's some kind of employment check, i don't believe.

You can also check with a local PI.

Also, if you know what states you have lived in, then do one on each of those states?

I am confused about why you would need to run a criminal background check on yourself. I would think that you would know if you have a criminal record.

If it is for a job, then it should be the prospective employer performing the background check at their expense not yours.

Thank you barelynangel. The FBI site looks like what I need. YOu just fill out a form and get your fingerprints and send in $18.

Scaryjello, i will be meeting someone from this site and they have asked that i bring a criminal record search along with me. i do not know her well enough yet to give her all my personal info needed on a background check such as Social security number.

What you are hopeful of is the equivalent of an NCIC, generally reserved for certified and licensed government agencies and law enforcement.
However, DOC, searches State by State will reveal if felony conviction has occurred and from there an unlimited number of public records will answer all your questions provided you pay attention to detail.

Eep! And I was put off when a potential D asked to see my driver's license.

Redact your birthdate and SSN.

eerr....personally I'd be put off and would not meet with someone who requested that of me on a first time meeting. That's just creepy and I would think the person is overly paranoid.

I can't see how this could end well but that's me.

Yes be careful of identity fraud, do NOT give her the paperwork, redact your personal information such as ss#, address, DOB etc.

If he's going to give it to her, I agree he should redact everything. However, then she can say, "how do I even know this is you?"

Frankly, as others have said, this is a first meeting. Asking someone you are meeting for the first time for a criminal background check tells me they have trust issues from the start. I have never done a background search on anyone I know, even when I worked for the DOC in Florida and had access to the information.

OP, is she also bringing you HER criminal background check? Yea, this is D/s, not always a quid pro quo type of relationship, but you are not in a relationship, just meeting. Tell her you want to see hers as well, and see what she says. If she gives you the "I'm the dominant, I don't have to" line of shit? Walk.

Umm his name? It's kind of hard for people to get criminal records of people with the same exact name as theirs. Why would he show her all the personal information he isn't comfortable of GIVING her so she can run her own?

A lot of counties (not all) have online criminal searches but I have not seen a national one that is available to the general public (FBI has access along with other agencies).

With that being said, If I have to hand over a crimal check to my potential Domme, I would have to say I think she has some trust issues. I could understand a blood test but a criminal search just to meet?.

I guess wearing a hoodie with San Quintin State penitentiary 1995 - 1999 would not be a great date outfit LOL!

You all make great points. Since i have never met her before i do not want to give my SS number but i can understand her desire to know i am not a criminal as she would be bringing me into her home. i can live with trust issues. If the profiles on here are accurate,background checks seem to be very common. It is true, i suppose most Dominants would say"i'm the Dom i don't need to provide one"

Background checks really aren't that odd. I have done them before but something about this really bothers me....I have never had to/or would ask someone to bring one to me. One reason is it would imply I have not spoken to the person long enough to know their name,where they live, when their birthday is, etc. You do NOT need someones SS# to find out things about them, but it does help to know other things. Another reason this bothers me is because as someone that has done background checks I know they can be faked...so what good is it to her for you to hand her something when she doesn't know who made it, if it is real, if it is yours, etc. The last reason comes back to her not doing it herself again. I think if it were really information she wants it shows a little bit of lazy, or lack of know how, that she doesn't find the information herself.

The D I mentioned above showed me his driver's license after asking to see mine.

Maybe y'all should slow down and have a few coffee and lunch dates before exchanging background checks and going to her house.

Did you meet her on this site? With your less-than-stellar profile, her wanting to whisk you off to her house rings alarm bells for me.
