Man, this gives folks even more reasons to wear zee condoms. I saw a craigslist ad last night from an HSV2+ male, looking for a similar female so each other could finally enjoy unprotected sex. Yikes! The dude's naive at best and a fool at worst.

That is nothing new, there have been cases before where infected people have deliberately had unprotected sex with the goal of infecting & killing the victims... There are all sorts of ways people can commit murder/serial murder.. i have heard of one guy that did it with alcohol, inducing women to over drink and when they passed out he poured even more alcohol down their throat and several women died of alcohol posioning.. beware the sickos

After I followed the link I had to double check my "Who's Viewing Me" page!!! AAAAAAAck!! (It wasn't the same guy, thank goodness!!) ------------------------------ ETA: I would think most people would follow the rule to treat people as if they're infected 'til you know for a fact they're not.

Tremendously fooked up. But ya gotta wonder about his umpteen thousand 'partners'...how many elevators weren't going all the way to the top there by not insisting on safer sex practices?

I was unsure what I was more disturbed by: that THOUSANDS of people had unprotected sex with someone that looks like that, or, that he'll now be put in a psychiatric hospital, with 3 meals a day and his HIV related healthcare paid for by taxpayers.

HIV is a death sentence... its not a question of if.. but when. granted, the odds have greatly improved

Isn't HIV an incurable, but manageable condition now if it's caught before it transitions to full blown AIDS? I know it was a death sentence at one time, but I thought that had changed.

Interesting how this guy, who confessed to the police to deliberately infecting as many women as possible, is given much lower bail than the guy with evidence of a consensual relationship. Confessed: During an arraignment Wednesday, Grand Rapids District Court Judge Jeanine LaVille increased his bond from $25,000 to $100,000 and said he presented a danger to society. Charges dropped: "I cannot imagine there will be a conviction here," said Hopkins' lawyer Andrew Stoll, asking the judge to lower the $350,000 bail. "I'm not denying that at some point and some time this abuse and torture was consensual," Supreme Court Justice Patricia DiMango said when refusing the request.

But having HIV can cause so many other complications, not to mention the cost of medications to treat. Someone is working on a vaccine. Wouldnt that be wonderful!

I believe the point of the post was that even though both people can have unprotected sex and not have to worry about HSV2, either one could have HIV. They would be ignoring that (and others) if they were to just go forward with unprotected sex based solely on the fact that they are both HSV2 positive.

It's fucked up but I don't buy his numbers. He has been doing this for 3 years and says he may have infected up to 3000 people. that's like 3/day. A few hundred, I'll buy. thousands? nope. Even I'm not good looking enough to get laid 3x/day by different people. I'll file that with Wilt Chamberlin's claim that he had sex with 20,000 women.
