LaTigresse -> RE: Wintertime blah...what do you do to stay afloat? (1/11/2012 11:08:46 AM)

It is a gorgeous sunny day here with a high around 50. Apparently tonight that is going to change. Snow and cold is coming.

Sounds like a good reason to stay home tomorrow.

That little bastard is ever present here too Fornica, I just think in terms of it being 6 weeks until winter is done her. I also make sure each weekend is special in some way.

Six weeks? Springtime is MAY in these parts! You can see the dead ground in April, but the leaves don't come out until May... so FOUR MONTHS to go, bucko!

A few years ago we were set up in Montana on Gary's acreage for the summer. It was mid June. The snow started in the morning and continued all day and was snowing when we went to bed. Thankfully the temperature stayed around 32 so there was only a few inches on the ground.

I'm teaching myself how to make chain maille jewelry. I might try to start selling it. Making money would make me very happy, lol.

that would be a good way to kill two birds with one stone.. use a happy light to light up you and your work table as you make your chain..

Fornibaby-
Next time you head for Ca. put me on your itinerary, I'm 4 hrs. south of SF in Morro Bay. It's been absolutely lovely here and the beach is right down the street.

We'll have a grand old time. If Wayward's in town, I'll have him pack us a nice picnic and we can all run up the coast to precious San Simeon Cove, where he'll give us great foot massages[sm=yesmistress.gif]as you and I talk about the weather and what the poor people must be doing today.

Really, come on out!

FrostedFlake -> RE: Wintertime blah...what do you do to stay afloat? (1/11/2012 9:52:01 PM)

I agree with LaTigresse.

Revvvvving the motor a good half hour a few times a week keeps the machinery in order. That makes you feel good. When you feel good, you, uh, feel good.

I have a long history of terrible, awful, nasty, chase me down the street and kick my ass depression. But not lately. My bike is worth a lot to me. Make of that what you will.

xxblushesxx -> RE: Wintertime blah...what do you do to stay afloat? (1/11/2012 10:04:41 PM)

I nap.
I cook.
I talk to "interesting" clients on the phone. (they almost always crack me up)
I *should* be taking a page from La Tigresse's book and going to the gym, but nooooo...
I *should* be working on my long-neglected blog, but I haven't recently.
Lush baths are a wonderful way to work out the kinks.
My kittys and doggies are almost always cheerful and glad to be alive. (I guess the fish are too, but it's hard to tell.)
