So, last night I logged off and there was that CM screen with all these people on CM from simply everywhere. you know, so naturally I started browsing them instead of going to bed like I should have since I needed to keep my job in the morning by staying awake, what an idiot I can be some times, you know? Well, from that amazing selection I was also amazed at how few female subs there were in the CM world and how many female dominants there are nowadays in the CM world. It seemed nine out of ten females no matter how soft and small and young or old were dommes. Was that just a quirk in the CM picture servers tonight or does that reflect reality on CM and is this happening for a reason? (I am not implying this is a good thing or a bad thing, btw.)

Greetings, Arturas. I cannot answer about the servers, but your question made me curious so I did a search. Unfortunately at 5 a.m. EST and kept to the first page of listings. Global Dommes 13, fem subs and slaves 12 USA only Dommes 11, fem subs and slaves 14 Tennessee only Dommes 9, fem subs and slaves 16 These listings might be skewed; I don't know of many Dommes who hide their profile but I have known many female subs and slaves who hide theirs when they are talking with someone who might be their potential owner. There are probably many more who hide their profiles frequently to help them work through feeling burnt out. It is also possible that the holidays or even winter time have something to do with it. I hope others will give you better answers. Unless I am wrong, your search was done sometime before starting your thread, around 3:30 a.m. Is it possible that there are more Dommes who are night owls and more subs and slaves who keep decent hours?

Arturas, I assume your criterion was whether they self-identified as Dommes? My guess is that the time of day would be critical. I'm assuming that scammers will be most active during their daytime (our nighttime), and that they will preferentially make Domme profiles because male subs are relatively easily preyed upon.

I did notice a trend lately of lots of male dom and even male sub profiles having red names. Either they're doing that to get more attention, or there's some sort of website malfunction (sometimes, at least on my computer, it shows profile text from a different person than the one I'm viewing).

A more pertinent question would be... how many of these Dommes are financial, online-only, or demand a tribute before any type of contact? And how many of those look like supermodels? Of course I'm not the sceptical type [;)]

Wow, DarkSteven, I hadn't thought of that. ***** Edited to add this: Arturas, just a short while ago, at 5:42 p.m. EST I checked the ratio of Dommes to subs and slaves in the past 8 hours in Tennessee. There were 20 Dommes and 55 female subs or slaves. Time of day does seem to influence the ratio.

People can claim to be anything online it doesnt make it true. There are many women & men on here claiming one thing but in reality you can break them down like a shot gun. I personally read the titles as just that a title until its proven its meaningless. I wouldnt buy into all the hype of claims. Dont get me wrong you will find some true but its few & far between. That goes for Doms, Dommes, Switches, subs & slaves. Just cause they bare a title doesnt mean they are true to it.

I think it's a fad to identify yourself as a Domme these days. That's not to say they actually all are. Just like it's a fad these days to identify as an atheist. It's actually something I was talking about to my therapist last week who pointed it out to me. According to her it's the trend to be aggressive and bitter and picking a title to identify with a title that they think shows that. She seems to think it's the economy, a sign of the times. I think also sites such as c.com attract a huge number of women who use the title of Domme to drum up business, to make money whether it's as a job or as a way to just get men to pay for things or because they're part of the angry young women group. Now I'm not saying all Dommes on here are like I described above but I do think you have large numbers of such these days and some subs seem to like them so as long as you have others who want such you'll have growing numbers who will come here.
