Legally the lady involved must pay taxes on value of services provided and benefits received. Quarterly you would have to report the value of these things and deduct from her funds or yours the taxable deductions and pay these funds to the government. She would also be responsible for her portion of SS deductions and you would be responsible for an equal portion. There would also be payment for workman's comp in case she gets hurt on the job. Legally you are responsible for taxable services provided to you in your household. You legally have to report these services and pay the taxes and deductions involved with having a maid who receives room and board. Just because there is no money traded does not mean there is no monitary value.
