I can be scathing. I am not guilty because of it. However, I think that for the most part, rather than get down on most of the intros, I let them slide pretty often.

They will come into the other boards, and perhaps they will wend their way down to Politics, where they will be relegated to gehenna.

Along with the fame that comes with this site, there comes some downsides; players, savants, cretins, whatever....

It is all theater though, and everyone should remember that. It aint real. It aint worth losing your wetware over.

I am not sure if we ever really talked about sex on CM. I don't discuss my personal life here except in a very bowdlerized way, because I am not interested in telling the internet at large what gets me off. I am not offended when other folks share! I say "thanks for sharing" over on the vidchat when someone comes on offering up his desires. Why not, right? Sometimes they just have to say stuff out loud.

It IS theatre, as Ron says. I enjoyed the show on many levels. Bored now.

The Intro descriptor says "Break the ice and introduce yourself here so we can get to know more about the person posting". Seems clear enough.

I've found that by asking them a silly question, like what's their favourite food, etc, usually breaks the ice, and they open up about themselves. Many a thread I have said "welcome, tell us about you!" when their intro is a sentence that you can sort of tell they are new to message boards and aren't really sure how to proceed.
I don't feel like I'm a cunty mccunter that just bitches unnecessarily, like I said before, if someone posts a ridiculous message, in my book, they deserve a smackdown.

Because 1. that's something that means something to her, since she made the profile and included the material (pix etc.) to represent herself, not you, and 2. because she can, which is the very best reason in the world to do anything at all.
