let's grow up and take some communal responsibility on this site.

fantasy and fetish are one thing - denial and deception another.

I'm not certain how a drop down box listing choices of sexually transmitted diseases
is going to stop anyone from being deceptive. Similarly, if there were one that said listed
Married, Not Really A Woman, Or Horny Net Geek, I really wouldn't put much faith in
this as a gauge for honesty.

As adults, it is our responsibility to keep ourselves from harm, and suggesting that a drop
down box will reveal everything you need to know about someone is offering false hope.

i have seen many friends become sick (temporarily and permanently) and sometimes die due to unsafe sexual practices or worse yet - trusting someone at face value.

If you die because you trusted someone else solely at face value you bear some of the responsibility for your demise. You have to assume that everyone you meet has an STD an plan your own actions accordingly.

Edited to add: You make a point of mentioning maturity in your OP while some of your responses to others in this thread exhibit anything but that.

thanks for the tip. you are correct - nobody seems to read these days. however, since i put it in the headline and told people to research it before contacting me i've had some really fantastic folks contact me who aren't "freaked out" by it and know how to take care of themselves.

have to say that for me anyhow, it beats trying to figure out when to have the conversation. sorta like telling your kid that santa doesn't exist.

I'm all for open discussion as well, and I'm glad you have earned some good conversation about the topic.
I appreciate your wanting to be honest regarding your health, but I got stuck on your use of the word deception,
as though by not publicly announcing it for the world to see is an indication of someone having the intent to be
dishonest about it. I think you'll agree that that is an unfair assumption to make, yes?

Thanks for the kind words regarding my profile picture.
