I've been having hot flashes for several years now & they're no fun. I can't take hormones for them either, as my mother died from breast cancer when she was three years younger than I am now. Also, I'm on an SSRI but it doesn't seem to help my flashes at all.

Thankfully the private play space we go to has a warmer visiting area and a much cooler playing area. That's a lifesaver. Wielding a flogger at someone can be hot activity! Even when I'm not actually playing, I tend to stay in the play area more and watch, as I can have flashes even when just sitting quietly.

I think it comes with its own host of side effects, but my friend takes gabapentin for some really intense hot flashes. Might be an option?

Consider looking into both blue and black cohosh. They help with all sorts of "lady problems." (Be careful, as there are some adverse effects with drug interactions, et cetera.)

Also, if you haven't discussed this with your master, please do so, asap! Maintaining overly high core body temperature for sustained periods can cause permanent drain bamage. It's good stewardship for your Dominant to help you maintain your health.

Master is involved in every single part of my life so yes he's more than aware of it and has taken it into concern. It's more of a frustration for me than for him I think. I'll do some research on the cohosh and the gabapentin. I've never heard of that one before. Thanks guys!

Try holding a frozen water bottle. (I imagine you'd have to insulate it though.)

Acupuncture from a TAI practitioner grealy reduced the frequency and severity of my flashes. A Chillow and a small battery operated fan (the kind with a wet sponge or spray attachment) might also help.
