youngdom25 -> Any other Buddhists? (3/23/2012 10:09:54 AM)

Hi guys, I am a buddhist. I am also a sadistic dom. I was wondering if anyone else was in a similar position.

Is sadistically topping somebody Buddha nature?

lol I seriously doubt the buddha would approve, but this is something I'm just going to have to accept though because I enjoy the sadism too much, I suppose even buddhists have their vices lol.

You'll be saying you eat red meat and drink next...

I think you will have a lot of people that like the buddhist teachings like I do. Its probably the closest I can ever get to any sort of religion. But most dont call themselves buddhists. My ex was one, although I only knew about that after we broke up lol.

I love meat and a good drink, but the buddha doesn't mandate vegatarianism for lay buddhists, and perhaps I have a few more vices than I should. I do thank every cow, chicken, turkey or whatever that died for my nutrition and am immensely grateful for their sacrifice.

the more I think about it bdsm is at its core about making people happy, even if the manner in which we do so is a little strange, so I don't think the buddha would disapprove.

I came upon a saying the other day that I found interesting, I'm sure I'll butcher it a bit but here goes.

Enlightenment is coming to the realization that Buddhism is a religion, i.e. that it's mostly false.

Musicmystery -> RE: Any other Buddhists? (3/23/2012 12:31:02 PM)

That's interesting? It's just silly.

Sadism is not torture as regarded in the teachings of Buddha. Consensual behavior between people, even in this dynamic, is acceptable unless you are speaking about the nature of the acts themselves. That would be a different story depending on your stature within the community. You would probably face more issues with your community members than you would with Buddha.

No, I'm not Buddhist, but I thoroughly enjoy the principles and teaching. I wouldn't stress on it nor would I call it a vice. It's a life choice that brings much great happiness to those involved.

Hi guys, I am a buddhist...

What exactly makes you a Buddhist?

K.

youngdom25 -> RE: Any other Buddhists? (3/24/2012 12:04:03 AM)

@daddyneedsluv please note my more recent post

@kirata I would say the fact that I do my best to follow the buddhas teachings and self identify as such would make me a buddhist

Musicmystery -> RE: Any other Buddhists? (3/24/2012 12:07:50 AM)

One is a Buddhist if he or she accepts the following four truths:

All compounded things are impermanent.
All emotions are pain.
All things have no inherent existence.
Nirvana is beyond concepts.

Oh, and you have to be in good standing with the Buddhists Union.

youngdom25 -> RE: Any other Buddhists? (3/24/2012 1:04:10 AM)

yeah those union politics are a bitch

I think he's in trouble on the non-attachment factor.

Who isn't?

youngdom25 -> RE: Any other Buddhists? (3/24/2012 1:49:14 PM)

non-attatchment is indeed something I struggle with, attatchment to material things, attatchment to drinking, weed meat, sex, my daughters, my fiancee, even attatchment to non attatchment. Unfortunately I do not have a local temple to discuss these things with someone.

You do indeed have a number of local temples, my friend.

Go. Tell them our mutual friend, Bill W, sent you.

Once you're comfortable with those temples, add this one:
