Relax, zealots. He's not going to get away with anything. He will be charged, tried and found guilty... because if these things do not happen we will have a repeat of what happened after those four cops were acquitted in the Rodney King case. The upside of this is that these rioters and looters tend to destroy their own neighborhoods. All that is left is to see who the next Reginald Denney will be.

You're missing the point. It's not about Zimmerman. It's about "Who told Chief of Police Bill Lee to cut Zimmerman loose over the objections of the SPD officers and why?" Zimmerman is just a nitwit who got caught up in his own head with tragic results. Any other time, it's a non-issue, and the system deals with it. The ISSUE here is that there appears to be a conspiracy to obstruct justice involving the DA's office and the Chief of Police, among a cast of dozens, to be sure... You don't usually get an x-ray view into the "Good Ol Boy's Network" like this. ( and the FBI/DOJ WILL fluoroscope everyone involved. ) Good on the cop who filed the CYA affidavit. He didn't make any friends for that, but he covered HIS ass. When the fuck do you see a cop do THAT.

I do believe he'll be found guilty, but not to prevent the post-Rodney King riots. He'll be charged, tried and found guilty because he's guilty.

I hope you're right about the FBI/DOJ, and I hope "everyone involved" includes the NBP, Spike Lee, the Rev.'s Sharpton and Jackson, and whoever originally tweeted the wrong address. Roseanne Barr is a complete idiot and that might be punishment enough. Spike Lee's punishment should be relatively light since he's already apologized to the family and paid them a settlement; the legal equivalent to a smack upside the head.

I'm glad that Mr Lee decided to "Do the Right thing" and personally apologise to the couple and cover their expenses as well as retweet for people to get off their back. I don't see that he had a hell of a lot of choice but it's good that he did it voluntarily instead at the order of a judge. I guarantee it was cheaper that way. ETA, I wonder if the neonazi organization "Stormfront" will do the same regarding the fake Trayvon Martin pictures they sent out to be snapped up by the media?

It is starting to have that smell isnt it.

Now I've seen a lot of people ranting about how it's wrong to lynch Zimmerman. But they're the only people talking about that shit.

This is going beyond some gun happy tard who just wants to draw on someone (even when told not to follow or engage per the 911 call (which negates his Stand Your Ground. You can't stand your ground when you are taking ground and moving in. It's fundamentally opposite of the reason for the law)). This is stinking to high heaven from what the police have done. And to whoever said he hopes the Feds will investigate fully: really? Given the impressive shitstorm that has swirled around this case since it first broke? Sadly, I will say (even though I do believe (not know) that it was a case of racial profiling and good ol' boys) that they want to find ANYTHING to pin on him. Otherwise, at this point, they look like they're in collusion.

I don't think so, like many Gun owners who had something horrible happen, I'm sure he's full of self recriminations. There's a big difference between fantasy gun ownership and the realities of Gun ownership / use. Learning this the hard way must really suck.

Actually, people got that out of their system with the OJ trial. It was soon enough afterwards that people were afraid it would happen again. That was also California, and yes things will vary by state, especially since California is full of tree huggers. This case, will go to trial and there will be a guilty verdict because people don't want another person the public KNOWS (sarcasm implied) is guilty go free, as is what happened with Casey Anthony. Which, by the way, was also in Florida.
