CERCKL,

Who made you the forum police?  Speaking of forum police, they should get you for your personal attack on me.  I happen to have ADD, and staying on topic is.....  hey, I have a new bike!

Yours,

benji

Has anyone else been noticing an increase in Hijacked posts lately?

It seems simple if someone posts and someone else doesn't have something to say concerning the post...Why do they post to it anyway , talk about another subject and not just start one that is their own?

any ideas?

Threads tend to fall under 'stream of consciousness' and where they begin is just that.. the beginning. Once you make the opening post, it's a free for all.. (as you can see from what has happened here already!) .. and they go where they need to go for all those who post. The OP can try to get things back on track, but it's the interest levels of the posters, bringing in their own life experiences that give life to threads. Also, it depends on the thread itself. Is it one that's asking for advice? One which is trying to make a point? Not to mention the many threads which are started to just whine or grip about something. Those tend to get high jacked the most from my experience. Over all, collarme seems to do pretty well compared to some of the other things I've seen. If a thread gets high jacked, jump into the fray, just post your own thoughts on the OP, ignore, grin and bear it. The choice on 'how to deal' is your own.

Dear artglfr, Ladies and Gentlemen;

In regard to hyjacked "themes" and topics, I do see incidents of some individuals use any excuse to make a personal attack and or opportunity to degrade someone but, these individuals are worth ignoring.

I do see that majority of individuals will try to remain on the topic and have different points of views debated back and forth but, sometimes the original poster did not inspire it--however, it still is tied into the original flow of responses.

Now, as far as drumming goes, percussion has it's purposes-- Native American Indians use of drumming was to act as a human heart to which I have experienced my heart get into the pace of the drumming.
Drumming has it's uses in spanking, paddling and caning, to which a light hand sends the energy from the drummer onto the drum and or individuals.  Students who have percussion experiences do grasp the technique of caning I teach, which can be erotic as well as pleasure to sadistic pain.  However, I will add that humans are not 'drums' and their body is alive.  Drums speak, drums have history, drums heal, drums give a sense of timing and when a dog wags their tail as it beats the leg with that tail--shows how happy a creature such a dog is and perhaps in a way says--"Lets play!"

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs
