Most pro-abortionists have never seen a baby torn limb from limb right before their eyes. Perhaps those who toss around lame, Madison avenue slogans like "choice" should consider actually doing some research on fetal development, methods of abortion, risks to the woman - physically, emotionally, and every other way - before forming strong opinions about something they've never even seen. Imagine someone having a strong opinion about war, who had never seen a battlefield, talked to a soldier who had regrets, or studied any other aspect of weaponry or wounds. Such a person could not be taken seriously.

Abortion is NOT pro-woman, as all the early feminists knew and wrote about. This is 2012, and the best we can offer a pregnant woman is a dead baby? I think not.

Maybe the best you can offer them is to MIND YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS?

They don't NEED you 'to offer' them anything. They're perfectly capable of managing their own healthcare.

They're not your slaves. You have no claim over them. Please Just Leave Everyone Alone To Live Their Own Lives.

I have rarely read such a condescending post. So if someone disagrees with you, it must be because they are ignorant and ill informed, and therefore can't be taken seriously. As for "offering" a pregnant women something, I am sure the vast majority of women choosing abortion don't want you to "offer" them anything. I am sure they would settle for you minding your own fucking business.

True Christians would pray for the child First... of that I am certain. At least they would not ignore the life taken and pray for better access to all forms of contraceptives and give thanks to doctors that take baby's lives without at least considering the soul of the baby and praying for it.

I said before many of the so called prayers are those I agree with totally...but don't try to tell me these are devout Christians.

So you're the global arbiter of who's a "true Christian"? That must be a heavy responsibility.

In a lifetime of churchgoing, I've encountered some breath-taking theological arrogance--papal infallibility comes to mind--but I think this truly takes the cake.

Not at all ...but if you don't believe me feel free to petition the Vatican or Lutheran Senate and see if they agree they are good Christians... I will abdicate my belief and kiss your butt if they agree with you…How is that for stepping aside for a second opinion?

Christ, kd. The words "holier than thou" come to mind. You are a judgmental, so called Christian if I ever heard of one.

No I'm not... I am just saying what is true there is a difference. I am not a good devout Christian either but neither is a person that prays against one of the pillars of the Christian faith and ignores the child...even in passing.

And every main stream Christian church leader in the world would agree with me and you know it…so what is so holier than now about saying a fact? I am not even saying it is right or wrong.... just a fact.

And now you speak for every main stream Christian church leader in the world? Astounding.

It's Okay for all to pray.

Is this the end of this thread? Was there another question I missed?

OMG. 131 plus postings on this subject and I answered it fully in one sentence? How could this be?

"FLUFF". That's what it is. A term used for anything that has nothing to do with the question, it only adds "noise" to make the reader think there is something complicated here. The only question is and was in the last sentence of the OP. The rest was "FLUFF" and I see all fell into that trap. Next time, try reading the last sentence first in a long OP and most of the time it is there, although some do cleverly embed it in the middle.

No problem. I do like to help.

P.S. Those Op entries with "lists" are great "fluffs".

Several. They're in subsequent posts. If you read the thread, you'll notice them. See how that works?

Kdsub, for you to be throwing stones on who is a true Christian is a joke.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Matthew 7:1-9 NIV
1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.    3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

I have been without a computer for sometime so I have happen to jump into
the christian subject here! I am a christian and a person whom calls theirselves someone
whom does not jugde others! If the subject is abortions i wil say this, so many scream about
abortions but do not one thing to help a young woman whom has no help from anyone, i am not
saying what they should do! But take the first step and help ayoung mothers , clothe her, feed her and
her unborn child! Then and only then can someone say "I have done my part and helping her! Anyone whom has
an abortion is so sad they remember it for the rest of thier lives, what if, what would he or she would had been!
No one has ever sat down and ask them "how do you feel, are you so sad after that, do you need help with emotional
problem? I have meant these women over the years and to everyone surpise the pain is forever!

If you can't tell the difference between this and a child then there are several pro-choice positions which will seem pretty confusing to you. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that this is one of them.

One side says that women are less important than single celled organisms.

You still haven't explained what single cell organisms have to do with this?

Sure, Butch, I'll get right on that. I'm sure the infallible Benedict will email me back within hours, saying that, yes, you're reading the very mind of God.

But seriously, I don't think you're grasping the incredible degree of presumption in what you've been saying. I'm sure you're sincere, but you're claiming an ability and a prerogative--to weigh others' souls and find them wanting--that belongs, at least as I was taught, to God alone. That's truly shocking.

It's also, unfortunately, exactly the sort of spiritual arrogance and judgmentalism that gives all of religion a bad name.
