Actually FinDommes aren't prostitutes, they don't offer anything in return but they also don't force anybody to send them money. In my book more honest than somebody who pretends to be interested and then demands money to see if you're "real" and all the other stuff that goes on.

Most of the so called FinDommes disappear rather quickly when they realize that there are no ripe pickings here, so really not such a big deal!

LafayetteLady -> RE: Goddess seeking Las Vegas Submissives (4/18/2012 11:38:57 PM)

Notice I did make a distinction between the two.  Sorry, but the reality is that there are quite a few women here who are nothing more than prostitutes thinking that calling themselves a "FinDomme" is an easy way to make money off a guy.

Dvr22999874 -> RE: Goddess seeking Las Vegas Submissives (4/18/2012 11:57:22 PM)

I have to admit that I see nothing wrong with prostitutes or prostitution. It's an honest 'service for money' business. It's legal (over here and many other civilized countries). It's the second oldest proffession in the world.
It just has an ugly sounding title and bad p.r. although I fail to understand why. I know I would rather have a 'working-girl' as a friend than a politician, lawyer or hot-shot salesman. At least I know I don't have to count my fingers after shaking hands with a prostitute

Fast reply

This topic is no longer in Introductions.

Have fun,

I'm confused about why not. If not Introductions, Services Sought or For Sale.

PeonForHer -> RE: Goddess seeking Las Vegas Submissives (4/19/2012 4:02:49 AM)

Seconded. It seems weird to have it here.

LL's original post was under introductions. I'm fairly new to these boards but typically, there's no "discussion" about an introduction. Members either welcome the OP or they don't. The catty circle jerk going down in this thread hardly counts as a discussion.

As far as "hawking wares", there's two places this thread could have been moved. I wonder why it wasn't. I also wonder why if the original post was so offensive, why was it not deleted altogether?

I agree with all of this.

As a side note to the prodomme-related thread you started, Privileged, one thing I've seen quite a bit in US-based BDSM is, "Prodommes are way better than those lowly, filthy whores." I find that attitude both emotionally ugly and tactically foolish. It sure would be nice to see a bit more "Sisterhood is Powerful" when a woman is using her body as her means to put food on the table.

Karmastic -> RE: Goddess seeking Las Vegas Submissives (4/19/2012 3:22:22 PM)

welcome OP!

first, welcome OP - you should properly introduce yourself here:
http://www.collarchat.com/forumid_49/tt.htm

not that i would ever do this, but consider yourself lucky you we're received with the usual snark associated with someone using the board-side of this site to advertise for personals.

In the future, you might want to read the whole thread.  It's very clear this started in Introductions and was moved by a Moderator.

Please don't confuse folks by telling them to do things that don't fit the forum guidelines.  It just makes it more confusing later on.

I'm happy to say that when folks pull out the dreaded P words "you're a prostitute!" "that's porn!" I don't bother to debate with them. I simply do not care enough about the ramblings of fun snatchers. I can't say I wave a Girl Power flag 24/7 but, stuff like this really bums me out.

TNDommeK -> RE: Goddess seeking Las Vegas Submissives (4/19/2012 3:39:46 PM)

I am on a separate thread about pro Dommes and fin Dommes, one you started. And again, I did welcome the OP, doesn't mean she didn't follow rules. And no one waited until the bullies got here, if you read correctly you will see I was asked a question, then answered it. That is when you decided to stick your opinions in, which are welcome. However, don't be offended when others do the same.

This has nothing to do with her profession, it has to do with what was posted. Which, again, I could care less about. You felt offended for her due to the answering of questions and statements that were made....which I might point out the OP has yet to weigh in on any of this.

Tell you what, let's just agree to disagree here on this thread. You seem to have an issue with snarkiness, which above I posted that you should grow thicker skin. Another word of advice, unheeded I'm sure but I'll say anyway, you should understand that people here are going to say what they feel when they feel.

And I feel this warrants the same response as a previous thread...I'm going to resort to My signature quote on this one. It is obvious the use of reason has been renounced.

Edited to fix punctuation.

Brb, icing that burn.

But seriously, you can see I was replying to RedMagic1, right?

fetisheden -> RE: Goddess seeking Las Vegas Submissives (4/19/2012 5:44:47 PM)

being a findomme & being a prostitute are not the same thing.
thanks!

not hating on prostitutes but it is bad enough when vanilla people who do not understand bdsm start judging....

It seems Privileged is in the same category as our OP, as far as schooling goes. Funny but the words "unattractive sleazy or hooker" never came out of My mouth. But then again, everyone has their own opinions of Me.

I didn't say you said those things. However, by contributing to the malicious turn the thread took and calling your participation "honest", you're agreeing with was said by others.

Taking a dig at my intelligence was a nice touch. Stay classy, TN.

Because these boards aren't the place for FinDommes (or women who use the term FinDomme because they don't like the term "prostitute") to hawk their wares.  It is a place for discussion.  So the "schooling" you both are missing is the ability to read the TOS.

No, just being honest.

So, when you said "Hello there OP, welcome." what you meant was " OP, you're an unattractive sleazy hooker but I wont say that until the bullies show up"

OIC.

When she said that, this thread was still in Introductions so she wasn't allowed to say what she really felt. Once the mods moved it, those "be nice" rules no longer applied.

Every section has it's own guideline as well as a FAQ section.

Wrong. There were 11 replies to the OP before the thread was moved.
