Wow. As the ugly duckling in a very very very good looking family... I got nothing for that. How sad to think that something transient is all you have. It's a commonplace view, though. Look at all the middle aged people wearing dresses a size too small to show off how thin they still are? And botox and restylane... not that I am dissing plastic surgery, I think it's just fine, but that chasing after some ideal to the exclusion of all else and to judge OTHER people according to that scale? Just NO.

I think there is nothing wrong with wanting to look your best and maintaining your looks, getting older doesn't mean that you have to let yourself go, it just becomes a bit ridiculous if you start looking like a "real desperate housewife" or the artificial Barbie look gone completely wrong. We all want to look our best but bulging waist lines and frozen faces are maybe not as attractive as an agile and alert brain...

I am all over plastic surgery, don't get me wrong, and yes absolutely taking care of yourself, it's the mad desire to look perpetually 25 that boggles me.

When I was in college the first time, I was pals with another student, a lady in her 40s. She was a wealthy housewife, and she often dressed in things that *I* would have worn. Sure, they fit and all, but they were just not appropriate choices. That memory has stayed with me forever, and while I might sigh over that Nanette Lepore lacy frock, I am going to buy the one that really DOES suit me, and not one meant for a young person.

Now Littlewonder has me all intrigued about the vaser lipo... LOL! One of these decades, right? [;)]

It's true that a cheerful and youthful attitude and a welcoming spirit are more youth-making than any product. That, and a really good bra...[:D]

OK, I'll be serious, now:

Egos. Women with big, brittle, silly egos. See, men know all about egos, because they've been tangling with them for all their lives. The best of men are aware that they're egotistical and have learned how to deal with the way they are. They've learned how to bend and flex with them. But . . . women so often haven't learned that. It's as though they've just started to learn about pride, machismo, braggadocio, aggression, etc, etc, etc . . . in their late twenties or their thirties. Certain of we men look at women like that and see them talking and acting like we used to when we were fourteen or fifteen. It's *really* hard to deal with. The times I've thought, "OK. You want to win this one. Fine, consider yourself as having won it. That sort of fight I don't do now, because I feel old and tired and I can't see the point anymore". Dommes *really* do not have to try to match men at what men do, much less beat them at it. It's an utter waste of energy and does neither side any good.

I'm not sure if all that made sense, even to myself. ;-) Just saying.

That's a solid statement, and kind of leads into what I have been thinking all along....

Women do not need to be ball busting, hateful, egotistical bitches to be dominant. You can walk into a room, graceful and easy and have all of the mannerisms of Emily Post dressed in a flowered hat and exert the kind of dominance that is what I would consider picture perfect over the whole room. You don't have to come in comparing dick size with the lot of them.

I think I am very old fashioned in that regard...even if a man is submissive, he is still a man, and should be treated as such.

I don't get out much..

Why do you ask?

Well, you sort of described me there... and it made me wonder.

And a good dentist...

Though wouldn't say no to a bit of botox and some fillers and maybe a bit of lipo all over...

LadyHibiscus -> RE: What Bugs You Re: Dommes & What Do You Like? (5/7/2012 1:44:14 PM)

Fillers yes botox no, no one needs a frozen face!

LadyConstanze -> RE: What Bugs You Re: Dommes & What Do You Like? (5/7/2012 2:03:12 PM)

I think it depends on the amount of botox, a bit works, too much and you got the constantly surprised but frozen look... Not that I am reading up and studying it, LOL, I went to a few docs in January (hey, if you're in LA....) but walked out again because most started to talk what they can do with my lips, I got really full lips and I don't find the trout pout attractive at all, so I just walked right out again, but I haven't given up hope just yet... Only anybody who wants to mess around with my lips (who really don't need plumping up) is not going to get near me with a needle, they can fuck right off!

That's true, Lady C. If I were to put wheels on your head and lift you by your ankles, I reckon I could use you as a Hoover.

There are times when I wonder if you would fit in to my Fetl crew, Darling, but there are times when I am totally certain![:D]

i'm getting the feeling i might be a bit different, but what i actually like in a Domme or Mistress is an air of confidence and authority, even to the point of believing she is better than me. i like feeling she is in control in all situations. And i have to say, it is really important she know i am their for her needs and pleasure, she can do whatever she wants. i am very serious when i say this but it seems most of the Mistresses i met are not as serious about Domination.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: What Bugs You Re: Dommes & What Do You Like? (5/8/2012 7:22:18 AM)

Sorry we're not real enough for you, Nequam.[:D]

It takes an exceptional person to serve me. Once we've gotten past the compatibility barrier, I need someone to be proud of, that has skills, that i can dress up and take places, AND that I can turn my back on. I dont need to feel "better than" to know that I'm in charge.

I've seen you say something to the effect of a dominant being better than you are, a couple times. Would you say that a dominant must feel better than a submissive is, to be serious about her/his dominance? What is it that you feel these dominants are lacking to say they aren't serious about domination?

Truly exceptional people only want truly exceptional people in their lives. Your words above read as very unrealistic whank fodder. Great for a short term, maybe weekend, fantasy role playing but won't hold up long term. You are expecting a dominant woman to uphold standards of behaviour and being that YOU fantasize about rather than you being focused on serving a dominant woman. Basically, your post tends to contradict itself.

Over all what you've said isn't bad, but your last sentence tells a different story.
