Status: offline 		I just joined a few days ago. I'm a new sub anad have a question about putting a photo on this site. Many on the Dom's I read insist on real pictures. Is that for your account or if you contact them directly. I also noticed many people don't put their picture up. I just want to do the most appropriate thing.

All comments, advice and snak welcome

Status: offline 		Just put up what you want to put out there to represent yourself and what kind of people you want to attract.

If you dont feel comfortable in posting a facepic publicly, but yet someone asks for a pic of you - you can always decide to send them one through a private mail. Easy-peasy.

As politely as possible - you're 51 years old. Have you ever been involved with selling yourself - a job interview, a date? You have to SELL yourself. A silly pic of a tongue smiley ain't gonna do it. And the Dommes I've known prefer a man who can think for himself to a degree instead of asking basic questions.

Status: offline 		Welcome to the discussion side of CM. If you are new, all this can seem quite overwhelming. So take it slow and don't let strangers on the internet pull you past your comfort zone until you are ready.

I have face pics posted, b/c I don't give a great gawd damn who knows I'm into kink. Note that none of my pics show me unclothed, although I do let on that I might have a teensy weensy bit of cleavage.

So go with what you feel is right for you. You can always send someone a pic once you feel comfortable. Remember, if you post a pic on the net (this included your cam), you can't take it back. It's out there, forever, for who ever wants to use it.

This. ^^^ If you don't want to put your face on your public profile, then send one in a private e-mail when you get to know them. There's nothing wrong with that.

We don't know if you can risk being on a kink site or not or what reservations you may have which may indicate that pictures are not a great way for you to go. Having up pictures does get your profile more attention, it's a fact that those profiles with pictures get viewed more often so its a great way to present yourself in a better light if you can risk the exposure. If you can't do a profile picture then it's a good idea to include a picture with a message.

I don't have up a picture on my profile because I'm not looking for anyone. I like having up an avatar for the forums though because it gives the people here something to go on.

Status: offline 		With my job i can't pit a pics up i assistant teach pre-school and i am not sure if any of the parents happened actoss it they woyld want a sub teaching their little darlings.  So i chose a rose.   Before i belonged to Master  if i was interested in a Dom and him me i do have a pic i could send.  It ia bacially very easy.

Then I would suggest you put in your profile that you are happy to exchange pictures with someone after there has been contact and some common interest established since this part of your life is not "public."  Anyone that would be worth your time will understand that.

Status: offline 		There's always the option of creativity.  There are a number of shots that you can do without showing your face.  This gives you the advantage of both.  Continuing to keep your confidentiality, but still coming up when somebody hits that "view only profiles with pictures" box. 

Have a look through the forums.  We have a few male submissives who have some excellent shots that should give you ideas on the subject.

Of course, the standard hint.  Wear clothes.

1. Since you seem to value privacy, just take some pics of you and crop them to remove your face.
2. Take pics of you in different settings. One chopping wood/clearing brush, one playing tennis or jogging, one dressed professionally at your computer, one playing with your dog, etc. Show which environments you're comfortable in.
