Hi Lilkitkat##, thank you for sharing your thoughts and welcome to the boards. I'm going to share my thoughts, in relation to yours - not dismissing your way of thinking or disrespecting it, just putting it all in my perspective. Also, as a disclaimer, my thoughts and views are hardly all inclusive. There's a mess load of stuffs not mentioned.

Number one, would drive me nuts. I would want 'time' spent with the person I was in a relationship, but please (dear god) don't text me and call me repeatedly. I'll turn my phone off.

Number two, hmmm. I've been known to go for days without talking to anyone. I'd, of course, be glad to be listened to when I do talk, but meh - listening is great, but discussions about mutual interests (Or even contrasting interests) would be more important to me. The little details of my life? I hardly even pay my daily life details much attention, let alone expect anyone else to.

Number three is an excellent point. Consistency is important, along with flexibility. Sometimes, adaptability is even more important than consistency.

Number four, Honesty, definitely. So long as it is tempered with common sense and compassion. Brutal honesty can be just another word for emotional and verbal abuse.

Trust will already be there, by the time I'm in a relationship with anyone. It would be a cornerstone OF the relationship.

Mmm.....brains...I mean, umm.. Minds. Minds are yummy. I love a man's mind.

Love...that would be nice. Friendship and compatibility would be just as nice. However, thoughts, actions and behaviors WOULD be important to me. There's just certain behaviors, actions and ways of thinking that I won't want in someone I am in a relationship with. Love me, love my flaws sure... but, outside flaws can be beautiful...Ugly actions, certain ways of thinking and bad behaviors? No way. I've been that route and it isn't good for anyone. ETA: I woudln't want anyone who would unconditionally accept bad behaviors, actions or ways of thinking in me either.

That's just me though, and I'm weird.

Now, as for what I'd need from a Dominant?

1: someone who knows the difference between being in control and being controlling.

2: a dominant nature that inspires the submissive nature within me.

3: compatibility

4: a sense of humor and a shitload of patience and compassion.

PS...those are not necessarily in order, despite appearing so.

I assume anyone looking for "unconditional" love is either a serial killer or a nazi sympathizer, as those are the two most obvious conditions that would instantly kill my love for someone.
