It is sad to see CM going down hill. I remember the days when it was a true site for real time people to come and chat and meet other real time people. Now it have become a site for pro to advertise and the worst part CM is letting people put on there profile the name of there IM example [email protected]. I can see very soon the only people on the site will be those trying to have you pay for cam or pro advertising. Oh well i guess the good old days are gone, time to move to the other site.

You do realize that this place has been like this since the beginning, right? I've been here since the beginning, or at least very close to the beginning and I've seen it filled with cam girls, and fake girls that just want to scam you of your money. It is because the site has been free since the beginning.

Also, from the beginning, you could add all of your IM handles to your profile. I've had mine there since then, because this site offers a horrible chat program to go along with the freeness of this site.

I agree it was better back in the old days when we had to walk 15 miles uphill in the snow with bare feet to get here.

What luxury! When I was a lass we used to live in a hole in the ground, we'd have begged to walk 15 miles uphill in the snow with bare feet and we'd have liked it!

I've been here since 2005 and it's pretty much the same as far as I can see. There have been a few changes here and there, but overall it's still like it was when I first joined. I've seen all the things you've mentioned pretty much from day one. Oh and I still found local groups through here, met people, made friends and networked to get to where I am today. You get what you give which isn't much if you don't put forth the work and effort and expect to get what you want handed to you.

Hmmmm well as a female slave who met her Owner via this site a couple of years ago, started off chatting and sharing ideas, met in real time within a few weeks, had a long friendship then commenced a relationship... all I have to say is I love this site :D

Good to know I apparently no longer exist though :D

Hey, don't stereotype the whole site based on a group of people you don't relate with! I did the whole cam thing for a while, but I didn't advertise here. Personally, this is where I come to let the real me show, where I don't have to pretend. In others' defense, perhaps they wouldn't advertise so much here if they weren't getting what they want from CM users! I am sure many users dig it! Anyways, there will always be stuff you don't like...I try to stick to focusing on the things I do like about the site, like all of the interesting conversations I have with people, and all of these interesting threads I get to read! :)

Its the usual cycle of almost any group. For a very long time bondage.com was a great FREE site with lots of information and helpful forums. It got bought out by alt.com and quickly spiral-ed downward. There was some overlap as collarme was getting on its feet and a lot of people transferred over. Guess what? It's collarme's turn to take the dive and the new emerging group site that doesn't totally suck yet is fetlife. I'm pretty sure it will be good for a few years and then have it's collapse and another one will pop up. That's just how things go.
