I appologize if this is in any way offensive to anyone, it isn't intended to be and any offense is due to my ignorance and not malice.

I've noticed a lot of profiles either stating the writer is, or is looking for a "black master." At first, I figured this just meant a d-type of african-american or african heritage but the more I read the more it seems to refer to a type of domination...That is, that "black masters" own their property differntly from others. Of course -everyone- owns people differently, but in all the profiles I've seen the term used, it seems like this is a school of thought, like Gor or Female Supremacy.

I don't know. Ithink I'm probably way off base, but I was hoping someone could clarify the term for me. And unconfuse me some.

I dont know what you mean. I know that I have a BLACK MASTER and that means he is an African American. His being Black makes it more exciting to me. We also scene with other subs in the Atlanta area or those who come here. Many women find Black men more Dominant as I do.

Were these profiles referring to American Black Masters or European ones? There's a big difference, ya know.

your attitudes and insensitivity might just be a clue into why we seek what we do the way we do. I know for me...just like you .. humans have preferences....i hate butter pecan ice cream... dont like the taste....so i prefer other flavors...but after reading this....i know now my perference for a BLACK MASTER...is justified.... it's nice to see... things here in D/s are no different than the so called vanilla world

To the original poster...I am not sure what you mean either. I have never heard of a specific type of D/s where the masters were referred to as "black" masters where the term "black" designated them as practicing a different type of D/s.

In reply to you, girl...~shrugs~...we're all entitled to our own opinion. Seems to me like a certain expression of your beliefs were shot down in another thread as being racially prejudiced in their context. I'd be willing to believe that there might be a few white/brown/yellow dominants who could "outdominant" your dominant. But there again...D/s isn't a "pissing" contest.

I think we've missed the actuall question here, she isn't asking if ther are Masters who are black or African american, she is asking when "black Master' is listed in a profile, if that is a type of Mastering, a form, such as Gor or the Kazaans or however you spell them * winces* (This one's not in spell check )

In My humble opinion, I think these sub/slaves desire to serve a black man just as in vanilla they would date a black man. It just so happens in our lifestyle we use the terms Master/Dom. It's a matter of choice and tastes less to do with the difference between black or white Master.

I am assuming the reference to a "Black Master" is a personal preference to an African-American dominant and not a specific practice or lifestyle such as Polyamorous or Gorean lifestyles.

Then again, i could be wrong as CrappyDom just pointed out...it's a subculture....of which i obviously don't keep up with subcultures ....sorry.

I think people have a FANTASY of what they think a "black master" is, that plays into a lot of stereotypes.

As well, a lot of people simply prefer black masters.

I don't think your question is offensive at all.
As far as I know, unless they haven't let me in on it because I am a mistress seeking submissives, lol, there is no "black master" type of domination. It is simply a preference for some, and a statement from others to get the racial issue/taboo out of the way early on.

I don't quite understand why that post would be here either. I'm white and don't like rap but I don't like country music either. The only thing I can think of is he mentioned rap because this post was about a black master and he associated rap with blacks, even though most white kids like it too that I know.

Seems like it was pretty racist whether he meant it to be or not.
