Luci, you're going to be just fine. Your surgery will be a complete success. Yes you will hurt for a bit, but probably not as much as you think and that's what painkillers are for anyway. It will all pass. Just take it moment by moment, and day by day. Celebrate what you can do, don't do what you shouldn't, ask for help when you need it, and keep your eye on the goal of it being over and done with. And BREATHE!!!

I only have one request. After you get all your surgery, don't get upset if it's not exactly how you pictured in your head. Remember you will have a lot of swelling, lumps, bumps, etc....Remind yourself that it does go away. It's only temporary. Don't get discouraged. [:)]

I'm not expecting it to look near what it will end up like until at least 2-3 months out.

I'll be happy that the jello monster is gone and my boobs will be where they belong. I know things will take time to settle into the end result. I'm good with that ;)

Believe me I know I'm gonna do PLENTY of whining here over the next few weeks hehe

Yes Ma'am!

As far as the painkillers go, I will really have to be careful.
I am one of those idiots that will do too much if I feel ok because it's masked by the painkillers.
So, just like when I had my back surgery I will only take half doses and wait twice as long to take them than prescribed. That gives me just enough to make it not unbearable but not so much that I'm not aware there is still pain. In  fact the day I had my back surgery done, I was out of bed up walking around (more like stomping because I was pissed and wanted to go the hell home) My doctor didn't like me too much LOL.
Thankfully this one only plans to keep me for 1 night...it will be a struggle for me, but I will get through it.

Thank you for the support and encouragement! It really is needed :)

ha...I do that as well. Master was not thrilled with me and would yell at me every single time he saw me up and doing things. And if I would tell him about my day and not thinking, I would say about lifting something or whatever and I'd hear it all night long! For me if I don't really feel much pain, I think I can do anything and not really be all that concerned. It's hard for me to just sit in bed and ask someone else to do things for me. UGH.

BambiBoi -> RE: Nerves (8/11/2012 3:19:43 PM)

Thank you for explaining it more to me, Lucifyre. It's clear to me that this is a strong move for you, for whatever that's worth. Drinks on me, off you!

{{{HUGS}}} Lucifyre

i had a robe with roomy pockets on the inside for my drains. At home you can take any summer robe/house dress with big roomy pockets, wear it inside out, and put the drains in the pockets. Be sure it zips or buttons in the front.

These are available very cheap at Dollar stores, Target, WalMart, etc.

Well then don't take the bloody painkillers, and be smart about your healing, lest it leave you with undesirable consequences, which is NOTHING of which to be proud. Remember, you are not alone in life and are responsible not only to yourself, but others. Be smart about it, girl. Love and care anough for yourself and others to do so.

You're damned lucky to have someone to love and care for you. I do not, and have done all my major surgeries and recoveries (including cooking, cleaning laundry, shopping, etc.) on my own. One of them was even a spinal surgery, which was no damned fun. I'd give my right arm for someone to care enough about me to chastise me for unthinkingly overdoing it and endangering myself. Do you not know how lucky you are?!

Sorry sweetie, I don't mean to sound harsh. I'm just a bit bluesy, because I do not have that good fortune in life as you do. Please, honor those that love you, and yourself as well.

What a great idea, Fluffy!

Lucifyre -> RE: Nerves (8/12/2012 8:24:47 PM)

Ok, this is me signing off for a day or two. Not bringing the laptop to the hospital, gonna try to just sleep the whole 24 hours they want to keep me (so I don't kill anyone due to lack of niccotine)

I'll be beautiful when I come back!
(and probably in pain and cranky and extra snarky for awhile, deal with it LOL)

You're beautiful now too Lucy. Best of luck with it all!

littlewonder -> RE: Nerves (8/12/2012 8:57:58 PM)

Will be praying for ya and can't wait to hear all about it. [:)]

Duskypearls -> RE: Nerves (8/12/2012 9:50:42 PM)

Sweet surgical success, my dear. We're all pulling for you, and cannot wait until you return in your new, beautiful, sexy bod!
