Hello everyone

I am not one to place subject on here, but this is so important I felt that this was something I wish not to happen too
anyone esle!!

My twin was bitten by a black widow spider!!

I saw a spider come from under my pillow on sunday night, I did not think of it I was so tired!

The next day or the one after I saw a large perfect circle, It has nothing but a tiny bite mark in the inner but outer
edge of the brusie!

This is when we thought something had bitten her, she began to not drink or eat, and we both love water and we have a water cooler for
our place she would not drink it at all

This made me know that spider had bitten her, I seen many in our area and they are very much in the western part of the US!

She stood three days in the hostipal, she was in such pain as she was told the vemon had attack her heart!

They first had thought she was having a heart attack, it was later known that the venom had leak emezeyms from her heart! Which mimic a heart attack!

I must say this the hospital had no ideal what they were doing, to my shock and her's they did such a bad job , I will be calling
anyone and everone to report their behavior!

Now as she was going through this pain and at that time we did not know what was going on, I should had called poison control center about the bite or the bruise!

If I had done this it would had save her from such terrible pain and, we would had gone to the ER right away!

I spoke with a person at Lowes Home improvement and he knew what a happening, and this was after she came home!

I found out a fact they(the company whom make the spray) that are to killed the "black widow, and the brown recluse spider will not guaranteed that the sprays
will kill the spiders, so he told me that and I read this on a website! There is only one way to get rid of these deadly spiders and it is a spider trap!

I want this to not to happen to anyone, and for those whom have children and grand children this spider bite would had be so bad! My sister is an adult so for a child to be bitten by one
of these spiders would had been harder to treat!

As my sister is getting better they said it may take up to two or three weeks!

The vemon is working it way out through and I am not sure many of you may and do know more then I do! But her finger and arm has a rash and sorry to be gross , but
pus filled under her skin, blisters and it is so tender and painful to the touch!

Now the part I want everyone to do is to buy this product , I bought one with four packs but the larger your place you must decide!

It is called ( JT EATON PEST CATCHERS SPIDER and CRICKET GLUE TRAPS!

I think I have made it a point to say how deadly this spiders are and it made know to watch out for anything!

They tell us that the black widow spider bite is only harmful to children well they are wrong!'

Having a twin is so different it is more the a sister it is a part of me that when we are not together it feel like I lost
part of me! I can and she does also tell when we want something from the store, we feel each others pain , I can tell when she is frighten and she is not even around me!

We are so close, we dream the same dreams, saying this if something were to happen to her well I am glad nothing did and she is safe!@ Thank God!

Now she will need rest and care until she gets herself back too normal!

I have made a mess of this post I have jump from the subject so please forgive me, but what is most important is you will get the message and
just make sure your children ok! !!!

Thank you so very much , I hope this was helpful and sokethijg msut !

( I do not have on my reading glasses on so forgive the mistakes I flet this was so much more

thsn, this has relaxed me so much take care everyone
please feel free to write m

Best regard,

Mosn

mons, I'm glad your sister is doing better.

I have never heard that widow bites are dangerous to children only, and I've heard the opposite - that they're dangerous to everyone - frequently.

10 years ago, I was bitten behind my knee by what was probably a brown recluse spider (I never saw it). A few days later, I went to a clinic and got antibiotic pills for the infection I'd developed. The next day I was feverish and had red lines going up my leg. I went to the emergency room and they gave me intravenous antibiotics. I came back the next two days to repeat this treatment.

If anyone doubts the importance of getting prompt medical attention for brown recluse spider bites, google image that phrase.

Mons, how stressful for you both. It is good to know your sister will recover. It is good to make people, and medical personnel, more aware of the symptoms of spider bite, although at times it can be hard to diagnose without a clear history and may be missed, as it can be limb and life-threatening.

I am well aware of the dangers of poisonous spider bites, and it is nothing to be sneezed at.

With all the stories I've heard throughout my life of those that have been bit by spiders, and the common (often cultural) nearly pathological fear many have about them, I've often wondered whether there is a causal link between the two.

I have had a most unusual relationship with spiders (and other critters, snakes included), in that I not only like, but respect, them. I do not fear them, but allow them to live in my home, if that is what they choose. I think they bring good energy. I've gently handled them since childhood, tho' admittedly, none that I knew were poisonous, and have never been bit. Yet I know of others that harbor grave fears against them, and receive multiple bites throught their lifetimes. What's up with that?!

What they usually mean by that is that Widow bites are usually not deadly unless it's a small child or elderly person.
It will always be incredibly painful yes, but it will not be deadly to most healthy adults.

Aside from the young or very old, the exceptions of would tend to be anyone with an allergy to the venom or other condition that the poison could trigger or exacerbate.

I hope that your twin sister makes a full recovery..

All spiders are venomous, even the little ones. However most are not harmful to humans.

However some are, the Black Widow is among them, for its venom contains neurotoxins. Any animal - be it spider, snake, jellyfish or other animal - which has neurotoxins in its venom is potentially dangerous to humans. This is especially true if its a female Black Widow which is larger and delivers more venom in its bite.

I have never been bitten by a spider. I did not fear them until my soul (and courage) died.

Yes: fear something and it will occur. Fear drowning and one will be on a ship that is wrecked.

It is not so much that the Divine abhors weakness, as is often thought, but rather that the Divine does not appear to be able to distinguish between what is wanted and what is not wanted. In Hindu mythology one character hated Krishna intensely - but when he died he nevertheless went to Heaven (or whatever); it was the intensity of the spiritual communication that counted, not whether it was hate or love.

Oh, Jane, I hope your sister is okay. Black widows and brown recluses are the only truly dangerous spiders we have in the US, and they hide in cupboards and dark areas. Sticky traps are the way to go.

Do get medication for the chicken pox. Ask for Zelitrex or similar medication; tablets.

I fekkin hate spiders. We had an invasion of BW's in my back yard last year. Thankfully my older son was still living with us and he liked to squish them for me.
Florida is terrible for both BW and BR spiders.
I have an army of wolf spiders in the house right now and I am squicked daily by one of the big fat buggers running across the carpet. The worst part about them is they are in hatching season right now and they carry like 100 babies on thier backs so when you squish em the babies scatter. *ick*

that is all LOL

(shudders). I am glad your sister is getting better.
We are loaded with black widows in my area. THere used to be more wolf spiders but I think the black widows got them. I do not like spiders!
Be careful.

Hello everyone

thank so much for your support for my twin Joan and I!

Too my shock the Posion Control Center in Ca told me that

many hostipal do not , remember do not have a procall for "spider bites"

This is so shocking I called them because of the non tretment my sister gotten!

They (the hostipal ) did not know what in the world they were doing!

The bite as I had said before "mimic a heart attack, the extreme arm pain! My twin said it flet like razors were
cutting into her fingers, I too thought she was having a attack to her heart!

My twin Joan said to all of you, or about all of you "Jane they care about you they answered so fast" this made
me feel so special I have found out when in need and when I wanted answer I knew where to go!!!!

Before you go to any ER please call Posion Control Centers FIRST!!!!!!!!! They will help you more! Then please go
to the ER!

They do something different, or may even called the hostipal I am not sure, but I know this, the hospital had not clue as too
what to do!

My twin is my life and lol we have been through two husbands two boyfriends and they all wanted to get rid of me and serve her lol
it is not going to happen!

But your suppoer helped me when she was in the hospital, it is strange but we sleep together and dream and wake up talking to one another!!

I hope everyone got the information on how to get the spider "traps" They also sale them at Ace but try Orchard's first!'

LadyHisbcus she really love your name! She does passt lives and is never wrong

DustyPearls I know you mean well but please watch the show which comes on ANIMAL PLANET it is called Fatal Attracions!

You find yourself attracted to animals and things that are dangerous, be careful they are wild they do not know us nor do they
wish to be our friends!

Everything has energy, but it is not meant for us to seek it out and go to get it! '

If it is harmful it does not belong in my home to bite me again, I hate snakes they are dangerous and they will do so much harm! They should not be near children
babies or anything small!

The show fatal attractions is about people whom think they have a special bond with these wild animals!
No they can not know you they are just waiting for a chance to eat you!
No they do not know you like wine with cheese!
No they can not think about you in way such as a dog or a cat!
No they can not see you as a friend never, ever will they seek and want to sit on your lap for a nap!
Yes the moment they get the chance they will will ear you all of you!
Yes they will kill you family and friends!
Yes they will find the time to wait to eat you, they are wild animals they will be angry at anyone whom
stands in the way of their food ( you )

No one has special powers that makes it okto bond with an wild animal!!!

Please Dusty do not bond with something wild!

Thank to all of you,

We had black widows and brown recluses where I lived in PA. But I simply did all the instructions that a website told me and I never saw any in my house after that. I took all wood and woodpiles away from around the house and moved it all into the very very back of my large yard since that is where they breed. I then had a professional sprayer come out and spray around the external and internal base of the house. I also removed all plant growth that was near the base of the home. It harbors and attracts both spiders and ants into the house.

Actually, most animals just want to be left alone. They are not evil, they don't hate us, they're not out to hurt us. They just want to do whatever it is they do and not die in the process. Using venom is expensive from an animal's perspective. Most venomous creatures are not going to waste their venom on something that is clearly not prey to them (and a human is absolutely not regarded as prey by a spider or venomous snake) because then they have to use precious energy resources to create more, and in the meantime, they might not have enough venom to defend themselves against the next threat or kill their prey. When an animal feels threatened it may bite, regardless of if it's wild or domestic (or human). Treat things with respect when they're in THEIR home (i.e., outside), and if they're in your house, remove them in a safe way (e.g. using thick gloves). Follow experts' advice to keep them out of your house, such as what was already suggested above. When working outside or doing other outdoor activities, be aware of your surroundings, wear gloves when reaching into dark places where an animal might be hiding (a good rule of thumb to follow: if it looks like a place an animal MIGHT be hiding, then proceed as if there definitely is an animal there), and if you see an animal, avoid it and let it leave on its own time. Come back to the area later after it's had time to get away. Don't try to kill it or chase it away, because that's a good way to get yourself bitten by a terrified animal that fears for its life. Even following these precautions, people sometimes still get bitten, like your sister. I'm sorry it happened to her. But it isn't because the spider was evil or out to get her.

Spiders dont have a sufficiently complex nervous system to be malicious. They just eat prey and bite when threatened. Humans always fall into the "threat" category. The problem is that widows and recluses tend to hide oit in dark areas where humans will reach without looking; the spider sees a threat and bites. There are a few species of spider that are more aggressive (the funnelweb is scary, and I am never going to Australia), but reclises and widows are fairly passive for the most part.

Thank you for sharing about the general ineptitude of hospitals when dealing with spider bites, that could be useful information for those of us who live in areas with high populations of dangerous species.

I hate spiders. Dont care if theyre dangerous or not - if a spider is spotged in my home, my response is "kill it with fire." Well...usually a big shoe. But fire would make me feel better.
