Adult Circumcision:
I was wondering if anyone has had this
done or knows someone who has had it
done.
I'd be interested hearing any experiences
or even if you are circumcised, what if
anything do you notice about the effect it
has on your sexlife.

I'm uncircumcised and have been
considering getting it done...

TMI WARNING :
My penis works fine, no problems but I
have noticed that I do have a bit of play
in the skin over my shaft, it moves up and
down to some degree while having sex
and while there is no mechanical problems
with this happening, I have had issues with
the "play" (movement) of the skin up/down
making condoms sometimes "migrate".

The reason I was thinking about it was to
some degree for this reason: I've read that
the movement is a normal thing in a lot of
uncircumcised men but I'm not sure if many
have the "condom migration" issue.

I'm assuming that no circumcised men
would experience this?

So yer at this point I'm not in a fixed
relationship and don't plan on being in one
for a while yet, the condom thing is a bit on
my mind at the moment as some of the
"friends" I'm seeing occasionally, are also
sleeping with other people.

Just curious at the moment and wanted to
throw some feelers out before possibly
talking to my GP and maybe locking it in.

Anyone who has had this done, or who's
partner has ect... what was the recovery
time like till you were back to business as
usual?

(Note: I don't usually report anyone for
anything but I sware to god...
Rule, don't spam my thread.

Ah, Aries..... You're probably going to nail Me. Please don't take this as personal offense.

In My opinion, cut cocks are more aesthetically pleasing.

No offence taken, It might seem a bit weird,
or not.. But I have absolutely no feelings about
my foreskin one way or another, I could take it
or leave it.

I've actually read that a lot of women do prefer
cut, I suppose that would be a small plus, but
I've never heard any complaints about mine so
it's not an issue really.

TazzyGirl,
Your link isn't working for me.

I double checked it. Its a UK site about adult circumcisions.

Adult circumcision - any advice?

Try typing in the www.menshealth.uk.com

Then do a search for the topic. There are over 200 posts on that topic you are asking about.

LadyPact -> RE: Adult Circumcision. (9/8/2012 5:36:59 AM)

Aries, I swear I'm not trying to be a shit.

YA KNOW, if you were going to do this for the woman in your life, I would say party on. Fuck, man, I would love the shit out of someone doing this for Me.

But..... Is that your situation?

Come on. Why are you contemplating this?

ARIES83 -> RE: Adult Circumcision. (9/8/2012 6:50:03 AM)

Thanks a lot tazzy girl, i'll head over there
and have a look.

LP... It's all in my OP?
If I go hard and fast during sex, I might
aswell through the condom out the window
or it's getting lost never to be found again...
It's the gliding motion of the skin over the
shaft that causes it, my idea is that if I did
the circumcision not only would be able to
use condoms without having to worry, but
I think I might like sex better with having
the skin relatively immobile rather than
having the gliding motion.

It's not for anyone, not even really myself,
like I said before, no girls have ever really
mentioned me being uncut and I don't
care one way or the other.
If the gliding motion was less and the
condoms stayed on better, I'd be happy as
a clam.

And I am usually but thats because I don't
use a condom if I'm in a monogamous
relationship.

this may sound like a stupid question, but are you using the correct size of condom?

Trusting that you are, perhaps ask your GP about any advice for the issue.

My nephew was circumcised at the age of 16 due to a lot of infections and problems. He said it hurt like hell after he had it done. But he recovered pretty quickly. I remember him saying something like he wished had been circumcised when he was a baby, when you don't even remember having it done or the pain you have.

I personally am all for circumcision. I think it makes it easier for men to keep clean so that problems don't arise later. Plus all the reports I've read about circumcision is that it is also healthier over all.

Yes! All us guys know how difficult it can be to pull the foreskin back and wash ourselves. It's VERY hard. Sometimes, I have to use my whole hand, get a good grip, and then pull the foreskin back. Sometimes, I even have to do it a couple of thousand times before I get it right.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

littlewonder -> RE: Adult Circumcision. (9/8/2012 11:57:00 AM)

you'd be surprised how many uncircumcised men are not clean down there.

DaddySatyr -> RE: Adult Circumcision. (9/8/2012 12:03:37 PM)

Having never cared about the issue other than teaching my sons the correct way to shower, you'd be correct.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

It's funny, where I come from, most men are not circumcised. When I moved to the US the topic came up with my roommates. And we found that they had never seen an not circumcised penis before. We had to google for images.

This.

JMO, I would be very afraid to have a procedure done on an intimate area unless it was really needed. I know it's supposed to be safe and all that, but I have also heard to many stories about all kinds of procedures to feel 100% confident that it would all turn out ok and that's not an area that i'd risk any problems in.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Adult Circumcision. (9/8/2012 4:21:52 PM)

One of my fetpals had it done due to phimosis. Nasty, nasty recovery, but he's fine now.

Most men here in the states are circumcised, for no real reason except some stupid postwar notions about masturbation. I like the peen, so I'm good either way, aesthetically. I've had uncut men tell me there is no way they'd get circumcised.

From my POV, it seems bonkers to do it without a health reason. That whole 'cleanliness' thing? My lady part are full of folds and stuff, and girls are...damp...at the best of times. I manage to stay clean just fine.

I'm with you on this one, littlewonder. A lot of men believe just letting the water from the shower run over their boy parts is good enough. [:'(]

kiwisub12 -> RE: Adult Circumcision. (9/8/2012 5:10:07 PM)

I work in a surgery area that does circumcisions on adults and children.

The usual adult indications are balenitis and\or phimosis.

Since a circumcision is just removing skin, it isn't horribly painful - compared to abdominal surgery for instance.

From observation with a friend the major issue after surgery is swelling of the penis and scrotum. It took a couple of weeks for most of the swelling to go away, and it was uncomfortable for him until it did.
Once that resolved there wasn't a problem.

and just to sweeten the idea of circumcision, you will not get penile cancer.

Your friends tough recovery may have been due
to his condition, from what I've read about adult
circumcision, a lot of guys have said it's really not
that bad.

And yer, I suppose that my reasons for considering
it are pretty lame since it's really down to me
personally not liking the gliding movement that
happens.
But when it happens to the extent that it effects
the use of condoms, to the point where I'm having
a lot more unprotected sex than I'd like it makes me
wonder if it might just be less trouble getting it
removed.
I haven't gotten an STD yet, but you only need to
get Herpes once yanno...
Where I live is actually a chlamydia hotspot area.

Anyway I duno if I'm going to do anything yet,
although I might ring up and see if my insurance
covers it, if it does it might be very tempting.
