I have had both a cat and a dog (not at the same time.) Both required me to feed them, both required me to give them water, I had to let the dog outside to go to the bathroom, the cat used the litter box. I had to let the dog back inside but not the cat. I had to take both to the vet and pay for it's medical care. Seems like a lot I did for my pet I also did for my sub. I still had to pay for food, medical and something to drink. From an economical standing my pets were cheaper than my sub. My cat lasted 12 years which is longer than the average for my subs.

If I patted my legs, my cat would jump up on them. If I didn't it laid on the floor or in a chair. What was there to not like about my cat? Especially the fact it always listened and never talked back.

It took you nearly two years to come up with that reply?

Well, no one can ever accuse you of not putting some thought into what you write.

Since the topic is now active again I'll just say that this Dom likes cats. Why? Because they're just fucking cool! That's why!

A cat who belongs to my daughter resides at our house. She was brought home a skinny, big eared scared waif of an animal. She now resembles an orange tabby football with a tiny head. She's chosen my daughter as her kindred spirit but allows other family members affection directly proportionate to her needs and desires. As she loosely falls under my blanket of care I've grown fond of her. She's independent, hunts like a lioness and makes apology to no one for her actions or demeanor. On the occasions she sits to purr in my lap to be scratched I feel true affection for her.
Hate the litter box.

They are independent, eating, shitting fur balls with sharp claws and teeth.
What is there to even like, let alone love!!

Does your cat clean out it's own litter tray?
Does it empty the litter and put fresh litter in it?
Does it clean up the icked-up fur balls it throws up all over the floor?
Does it brush up all the fur it leaves everywhere?
Can you stop it ping-ponging with it's claws in your legs?
Can you stop it clawing and scratching your furniture to bits?
Can you stop it digging up your flower beds (or your neighbour's garden) for a shit?
Does it take out all those half-dead birds and mice it brings in and lets loose in the house?
Does it deter burglars?
Can you stop it meowing at stupid-o'clock in the morning??

Yeuk!! I hate cats!! Can't think of anything good about them.

In the future, please start a new topic rather than bring up a thread that is over a year old, unless it is a personal update on your own thread. Since you all are running with this and it isn't of a personal nature, I will let it continue.

well lets see,my last cat
took shits outside,so no tray
again,out side
didn't really throw up much, did have a habbit of eating disposable razors thou, left the reminents all over the place
Yeah, she did leave fur every where, but I'm not allergic,so meh
Never, that's one of the reasons I loved her."spartan" trained her from when she was young,so sometimes I'd wake up with her attacking my hand in a playful viscous attempt to get an upper hand on her long time opponent.
Never had a cat that did that,if you get them while their young, and let them know that is not good behavior, then they wont do it.
meh, didn't really have neighbors, and she kept rodents out of the garden, she preferred shitting in the driveway/road
she ate them, and the preferred to let them loose on the roof so she could get a good run outta them and not loose them...she brought in a live bat once thou.
Not quiet, altho she did corner a few squeamish people who'd never seen a cat ballsy nuff to both hiss and approach strangers...she bitch slapped my freind once so hard that I heard it across the room, and she "deterred" many burglars now that I think of it.all those nasty rodents that used to eat and chew all my belongings

and nah,she slept in past me

I was under the impression that the rule about resurrecting necro threads had been revoked and was now allowed.
Has it been re-introduced again??

You can blame this one on mstrj69!

That was never approved by the admin team. How I am doing it has been approved.

So sorry for the confusion.

Not to stay off topic, but I've seen it posted earlier this year (not sure which by Mod) that if a thread's last post is older than 3 months old, we are to start a new thread.

CATS RULE! That's all this Dominant has to say on this matter.

I don't know when that post was made or by what mod is was posted. That might help.

It was one of the first things the admin team and I went over when I started. Newer mods may not have all the rules down and sometimes go by something they thought was a rule. You cannot learn this job quickly as there are so many things to cover and many things that come up. So, I am not sure what happened and what you saw, but this is the official way of it.

One year.

And by the way, I totally heart necro threads. And cats. And Dominants who like cats. Or, at least tolerate them.

Thanks Kaliko, but the newer admin team was what I had in mind. Pardon switching topics Mod3, but I found one of your posts where you do state the one-year policy and that that particular thread hadn't been "posted on for many months." http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=4705049 Elsewhere I seem to recollect a reference to it having been over 3 months since last post or some such on an *old* thread. Appreciate your taking the time to address this for freedomdwarf1, myself, and other posters.
