I'm with you as far as legislating what you can do with your lady parts not that I think the government should pay for abortions or contraception. I'm conservative because for me the priority is competency and fiscal responsibility. IMHO Obama has neither of those.

I'm not in favor of legislating what kinds of guns I can own either.

I agree with the 2nd Amendment. Having said that, I also agree with legislating what types of guns can be purchased and who can purchase them.

Well then I would say you have some conflicts with the amendment. I don't think the government should have a monopoly on small arms.

I think the whole affair was sleazy. The fact that he was fooling around on his wife was as bad as lying under oath. Though I don't think it rose to the level of impeachment.

Depends on what unfettered means. I can go along with checking for criminal records but restricting what types of guns I own is where I draw the line.

If it was up to some of these politicians they would have us regulated to muzzle loaders. They want to start with so called assault weapons (whatever those are) typically military type arms with high capacity magazines their accessories and all the rest of it.
