I remember a great line from another thread about womens profiles mostly being fake anw wimen wishing more mens profiles WERE fake, lol.

I assume most womens profiles are fake, anyone under 30, 95%. Anyone hot, 98%. Anyone with just one picture, 90%, etc.

I rarely contact women because its pretty pointless. I look, lots but just cant force myself to write more than a line ir two when I do because its more effective to just not bother, sad but true.

Just to add in, I am only interested in women nearish my age, 35~50, no little girls for me, I want a womab.

Sure but at best photo verification proves that a person is the gender and approximate age they say they are. It doesn't prove they are who they say they are or won't disappear.

I would think that most members (Male, Female, GBTS) who use web based social networking sights, especially the more adult themed free sights to meet others would weigh this more than 'at best' as a simple, easy to comply, justifiable verification. I would think that any members who are on line for the purpose of dating would not find anything irrational with this given the amount of obvious fake profiles and scammers.

Those who are insecure or fake or just on line for 'fun' would get lumped into the same category, but both categories are not members who use web based social networking sights to meet others.

One thing that is apparent is that the forum side and the socializing side are two very different entities. Those on the dating side are quickly overwhelmed by the magnitude of fake profiles and those on the forum side are quick to snap, so what?

Forgive me if this derails your thread.

What irks me most are supposed Doms who have NOTHING about themselves in their profiles, yet contact me saying what I put in my own, in terms of who and what I am, and that for which I search, is full and wonderful.

How is it they do not consider most do not wish to play 20 or 100 questions with a "ghost," only to find out if we knew what we learn about them through this exhausting endeavor, were it in their profile, would NEVER have inspired us to correspond with them to begin with. Is not our energy or time of value?

And anyway, it is not a Dom's job to put himself out there in a palatable manner?

By George, I got another this a.m. A polite inquiry, no doubt, but a ghost profile. Here was my response, which I think I will save and use as a "form" response from here on in. I may even consider putting something to this effect in my profile, to hopefully discourage such inquiries:

I appreciate your polite inquiry.

That you are intrigued by my profile shows you have the complete advantage, as yours virtually tells one nothing about you.

I am not inclined to start at square one with those who have empty profiles. The very point of a profile is to give a synopsis about oneself, that others may quickly determine if there is any possible, potential interest for making contact. It has been my experience if one does not publicly offer who and what they are there, no good will come of it later.

Although I do not intend this to sound harsh, unless you are the Uber Dom and fellow of the century, I would not encourage you to make further inquiry of me, as it would likely only lead to mutual disappointment.

Forgive me, but I am tired of this. And they ask me why I drink!!! Just kidding, I don't, but sometimes....it almost makes me want to! Come on, fellows, step up to the plate and show us your best.

I assume that an empty profile is a sign of either laziness or a paranoid fear that any publicly communicated information could be used by his wife to track him down.

Or C. he's being deliberately vague so as to cast a wider net.

Steven, Kali, likely you are right, or it means worse or less. It is most discouraging and exhausting. Make an effort, fellows. Bait your hook with something palatable, or go home hungry!

Thanks Steven.  I thought that it was a sign I was hear for the forums and not the searching side.

Ask them to send you a picture looking in a mirror showing on a piece of paper a random number you have given them.

Yeah that'll work. Gimme your random number and I'll photo-verify for you that I'm an 87-year old grandmother.

Okay, I'm kidding. I'm not really going to go to the trouble. Just sayin.

K.

littlewonder -> RE: A simple task (12/29/2012 9:57:40 PM)

Give me the number and I'll get my 24 year old neice to hold it up for you and also to talk to you on the phone as I sit behind her telling her what to say to you.
