With vaginas, "normal" kinda goes out the window. I have an 'above average' yeast level all the time, so does a good friend of mine, our gynos told us this during our exams. We've both heard this for a few years now, and shockingly, we've both only gotten them when we were on antibiotics. "Normally" people would say this should make us more susceptable to getting a YI, but for us, our bodies mediate themselves at the higher end of the 'normal' spectrum. If he didn't wash his hands, it's very possible this could have caused your YI, though I doubt men have always scrubbed down right before getting into foreplay with you for your entire sexual life, right? So it was probably a fluke thing, wouldn't be too worried unless it becomes a pattern, then it's time to see a doctor to make sure there isn't an issue that needs to be treated where the YI is just a symptom of something troubling with your body. You're right though, it doesn't make it any more fun, sorry [:'(]
