Most SKS's are manufactured with a fixed 10 round magazine. However, the magazine is removable simply by field stripping the rifle. It can be replaced with a 20 or 30 round fixed magazine that is also removable only by field stripping. With one of those 30 rounders when you run out of ammo you have to load it up again through the top of the rifle. Some of the SKS's were manufactured to accept AK 47 magazines. The SKS can also be converted to accept AK mags and there are after market 30 round mags specifically for the SKS that are detachable once you remove the original fixed magazine.

where has he been correct on the figures, he said it more than once and never gave a link or typed out a few figures of his own. so please dont make excuses for him.
Relentless against obvious bullshit statistics used as an excuse??, yes, you are damn right I am.
Im also well aware of the typos etc, too ..I give him slack on it, I do not give him slack on his ability to admit he was wrong.Or how he deals with it.

The SKS was its own unique snafu in the CA law. What I was referring to was the time between when the law was passed In 1989 to the deadline to register the particular banned guns. Due to the high estimates of non compliance when approaching the dead line the attorney general announced they were extending the deadline. Quite a few people registered their guns during this extension but were later told that the AT had no authority to extended the deadline. They were sent letters telling them to turn their guns in or get them out of the state or face prosecution.

And, again, none of this shows an attempt at a total gun ban. Even NY wasnt a total ban of all guns.

And, as you pointed out, if your state changes their laws, you can always move to another one.

I was referring to Tazzy and Lucy.

Comparing the UK with the US is like comparing apples and carrots. Its a different place and a different culture. If you want lots of gun violence we have that in cities with strict gun control and so called gun free zones. If you want a very low incidence of gun violence we have that too in places where there is a high ownership of guns. Why is it you guys resist those statistics.
