Actually, if it were up to me, we would have Green Berets in the schools and Rangers patrolling outside the schools.

Since that is not feasible, how about highly trained security personnel like those the rich have protecting them, ex military with clean discharges and former law enforcement with clean service record.

Considering that there a billions of tax dollars being spent on things like trying to teach chinese prostitutes to drink responsibly, I can probably go through the list of active government project funding and find the funds.

States have been increasing the penalty for gun related crimes for years. There is a simple truth, laws do not deter crime, if the criminals were law abiding, they would not be criminals.

No gun buy back program has been initiated with a stiff penalty for possessing the weapons the state or program was buying back.

One without the other wont work.

WTF does alcohol and hiv transmission in china have to do with the US? Do we not have prostitutes that drink alcohol in the US? Or have they all gone on the wagon? What about the bridge to nowhere?

You cannot tell me these studies cannot be done cheaper by doing them in the US.

Are you suggesting someone who is threatened and manages to scare off the attacker isn't a victim. And what difference does it make if the study was in 1994? It still shows that there are a lot of victims who didn't end up dead because they had the means to protect themselves. As I said the states have set strict gun crime penalties, the LA and LA county bought back guns from criminals at or above market value. Gang bangers admitted to having more guns at home, they just needed quick cash.

And as I said, laws do not prevent crimes. Law abiding citizens do not just break laws and become criminals, criminals break laws because they dont give a fuck.

Look at the increased state and federal penalties for drug trafficking, have they done anything to stop drugs coming into the country?

I thought you said you were not in favor of a complete ban of all guns? the most prevalent gun used in drive buys is the semi auto pistol, 9mm, 10mm, 40 cal, 380, 45, actually every pistol caliber. So you have to ban all pistols.

The most prevalent long arm used in gun related crimes is the 12 gauge shotgun, sawed off double barrels and pumps, so you have to ban all those.

Basically we are taking about banning all but about 10 types of long arms.

Sorry, was at emergency vet all night with Princess, we had a porcupine get in the yard, and she is very protective of her territory, and I could not catch her before the porcupine let fire.

$496 for the vet, and sitting up with her all night because she came up against something she could not "protect" her family from.
