Increased water consumption, potassium, vit D, calcium, heat and stretching during and after the workout. Stretching cold muscles isn't the best idea, but keep a feeler on your muscles as you're cooling down, and stretch anything that feels like it's getting tight. As for heat, we use corn bags in my family. Pour some field corn into a cloth sack (Got sewing machine?) and sew it shut. When you want some heat, nuke it and put it where you need it. Be careful to not cook it too long, it can get really hot.
