They did it hundreds of years ago. And from my understanding they did it so they could celebrate something that was illegal at the time without getting caught, not to take anything away from anyone else. But for what ever reason it was done, whining about it now to me is just as stupid as the kid next door. If you want to celebrate something different that day or not do anything at all no one really cares.

If it was so long ago, why are you celebrating easter today? And trying to deny other beliefs and actual facts of history

I didn't actually do anything yesterday. Had to work 3-11 and didn't bother. But why wouldn't I celebrate something that is still being celebrated just because it began a long time ago? I didn't know holidays had a time limit.

Status: offline 		I never liked Easter ever since I found out that the word shares its root with the female hormone, oestrogen. Eggs. Women's eggs especially. I mean, really, it's a bit yuck, isn't it? I don't think we should have holy days matched up with nasty bodily chemicals and stuff. Yew.

Sure if the major events in Christs life just happened to fall on the pagan holidays too popular for the Church to outright ban. *Shrug* Whatever, It's not like you can blame baby Jesus for being born.

But that's not what happened.

i thought fluffy chickens & rabbits laid all tha easter eggs in green meadows. just wouldnt be tha same if its women doing all the laying in far east sweat shops or something.
