I was up until late last night, watching the events unfold on sky news. It was just terrible. And then I heard that among the dead was an 8 year old little boy - and my heart broke.

I live about 30 miles from Boston and there are little signs all over the place that say things like "prayers for Boston" and a big sign across the street from a state police barracks thanking them for their work.

My friends in Florida checked in with me frequently, but surprisingly, none of my coworkers in FL did, although they do when there are big weather events up here.
