Wanting to Toss Every Amendment Except Second!!!
For people who claim to love the constitution, Fox News pundits sure seem to be hemorrhaging amendments according to Jon Stewart. On Wednesday night, he took the network to serious task for its emotional and math-challenged reaction to the Boston bombing and the handling of Dzokhar Tsarnaev in the days since his arrest.

You mean Stewart showing tapes of fuxnews claiming the President/liberals are anti-constitutional,then showing tapes of them dissing just about every Constitutional Amendment(as well as common sense) is just to much for you to respond to......?

I liked the footnote.

Would have preferred to have seen longer clips so we could gain context, but that may or may not have changed a damn thing.

It has been shown on this board that Miranda can be suspended, for public safety. And, that seems to be what Brian Kelly was talking about. So, not really against his Constitutional right.

The rest may be Constitutional in the same way, except for Coulter's assertions. Beckel's idea of barring all Muslims entry for now isn't contrary to the 1st amendment. Not letting in Muslim students isn't preventing them from freely exercising their religion, nor is it establishing a national religion. Beckel went on further (as heard on a local news talk radio afternoon show) and stated that he wasn't saying to get rid of Muslim students who are already here, but to temporarily prevent any more.

Just so I am clear, I am not in favor of preventing any race, ethnicity, or religious affiliation from entering the country. I am completely against allowing aspiring terrorists to enter the country. And, I don't think there is any specific question on the student visa application. I think it's high time we changed that... [8D]

you know you all quote the federal constitution while your state constitution strips you of the rights you think and claim you have. yeh if you can do a title 42 case maybe.

What you miss completely is:
quote:

Rights of conscience; educatIon; the necessity of relIgion and knowledge

§7 All men have a natural and indefeasible right to worship Almighty
God according to the dictates of their own conscience.

you do NOT have the right to freely exercize your religion in Ohio,

you have the right to PRAY nothing more!

Likewise you have no unalienable rights recognized by your state, only inalienable rights.

and the only reason you have that r4ight is that they cant stop you from praying anyway!

LMAO

but dont feel bad, wisconsin only allows you to pray too,

and minnysota
quote:

Sec. 16. Freedom of conscience; no preference to be given to any religious establishment or mode of worship.

The enumeration of rights in this constitution shall not deny or impair others retained by and inherent in the people. The right of every man to worship God according to the dictates of his own conscience shall never be infringed;

ha now california was a little more sneaky about it

quote:

Sec. 4. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without discrimination or preference, shall forever be guaranteed in this State;

the freedom to be a minister LOL

fucking hilarious anyway I am not going to post every state, this is enough to get the point across, you have no unalienable rights and you have no right to EXERCISE YOUR RELIGION

Laugh it up, furball. lol You know how hard it is to work that line into normal conversation? Gotta use it whenever I can. [:D]

You must realize that "to worship" and "to pray" are not one and the same, right? Praying is but one form of worship. Living your life according to the standards of your religion is yet another way to worship. Where does my State constitution prevent me from doing that? Where does my State constitution prevent me from freely gathering with others to enjoy fellowship of others with the same mindset?

What, in your opinion, is the difference between unalienable and inalienable?

it wont, however the trick here is that neither will your statutes "RECOGNIZE IT" so no court will honor your right to exercise, only pray and only worship and you would need to produce something that validates that worship is the same as exercising in which case I will concede if it is a court case.

unalienable are rights you cannot waive, inalienable are rights that you waive by contract or agreement.

See what I mean?

quote:

WORSHIP. The honor and homage rendered to the Creator.
2. In the United States, this is free, every one being at liberty to worship God according to the dictates of his conscience. Vide Christianity; Religious test.

WORSHIP, Eng. law. A title or addition given to certain persons. 2 Inst. 666; Bac. Ab. Misnomer, A 2.

A Law Dictionary, Adapted to the Constitution and Laws of the United States. By John Bouvier. Published 1856.

you can look all those words up and you will never get to a word that sanctions and grants the liberty of an "action"

know what I am saying? To Exercise is an action according to the dictates of your religion. Which is why I call the US the culture destroyer. the only religion you are allowed to freely exercise are regulations promulgated by the government, and the courts do not look beyond the contract!

Hotel california once you check in you can never check out. LMAO

you cant trust government on ANYTHING, you have to look up every word including the word a, and the, because you never know what they did to butcher it to steal your rights!

Um, you DO realize Fox isn't an American-owned network, right? Last I heard it was AUSTRALIAN-owned. They've been manipulating American politics for years....and since it's TV, everyone sucks it up as FACT. I won't even WATCH the goddamn thing, nor listen to anyone who admits to watching it.

jlf1961 -> RE: Fox News Shreds The Constitution (4/26/2013 9:18:22 PM)

Considering the clips on the Daily Show, and other sources, the only constitutional amendment that Fox thinks we need is the 2nd.

Inalienable
    quote:

Not subject to alienation ; the characteristic of those things which cannot be bought or sold or transferred from one person to another, such as rivers and public highways, and certain personal rights; e. g., liberty.

Unalienable:
    quote:

Incapable of being aliened, that is, sold and transferred.

I know who murdoch is only too well, I know what he does, and how successful he is at it. sadly.
Only dumbarses suck it up as fact. However there are a plethora of dumbarses in the world, that was kinda the point of my whole post:)
P&R is rife with people who claim not to listen to any of the RW spiel put out by them, but strangely have the same mentality. *a couple of posts here prove the point*
Ive listened and watched, read and researched..... purely to "know thine bullshit artist" and be able to rebuff their crap with facts.
For example using Jons little segment to show just how unbalanced they can be.....[:)]

Nobody of the planet (save apparently the English and their colonials) takes the Tory spindoctor Rupert Murdoch's Anglo-American garbage seriously, his publications make Pravda look good.

His sole role appears to be in keeping the WASP lumpen diverted and kept out of any real trouble for the Anglo-American ruling classes, and thus, being a necessary evil, they allow him to operate.

They were aspiring terrorists when they came into the country?!? Seriously? And, I would also like to point out that Jefferson and Henry were born in Virginia and Adams was born in Boston, so, technically, they would be more apt to be called "home grown" terrorists, if you are going to demand they be called terrorists (which I wouldn't).
