Actually, there are three things here that are laughable. The first is you claiming that y'all trust the police, when five different links say not so much. The second is your claim that I'm a Republican. And the thrid is how you resort to a dismissive wave of your hand every time you get your pants shortened. Too much time in that basement, methinks.

I am very dismissive of your bullshit links. The fact you cant even digest my words, let alone have the balls to keep them in context, says it all.

I shall repeat them..... We have trust in our police force to keep us safe Now show me where any of the foresaid bullshit links actually say anything different.

Interesting development in the case. It seems that the shooter simply bypassed all of California's strict gun control laws by ordering the parts and pieces of his primary weapon individually on the internet, and did some of the machine work himself to build it.

Well, that's one of the ways to bypass the law.

No... because before the influx of drugs through and from Mexico their murder rate was much lower than ours.

Butch

I note that you did not address the fact that with more guns in the hands of citizens our crime rate had cut in half in the last 20 years something no one else has accomplished.
Or the fact that the FBI stats show that far more crimes are prevented with firearms that committed with them.

And yet Lexington and Concord were fought because the Brits were confiscating guns, go figure.

We were talking about the UK, you lost that argument so countered with some gibberish about the American Revolution.

Go figure indeed.

No you stated that we got the 2nd from the British and I was pointing out the inaccuracy of your statement, in fact it was actions like that by the British that led to the 2nd.
Can't lose an argument about how great gun control is in the UK cause I don't care.
Pay attention.

"The fact," you say? This is a 'fact' as in hand by what demonstration? By what scientific evidence, such as would then likewise explain that crime goes up in every location that guns are less prevalent?

I'm not sure that I should even bother you with such a triviality as the fact that correlation does not equate to causation. But even if it is the case that the US has reduced its crime rate vs. other countries, all of whom have aggregate less gun ownership, here is where we stand now, after all that:

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_tot_cri-crime-total-crimes

If the US drop in crime rate vs. the other countries is attributable to greater gun ownership (though most people would just take it as the US having such a phenomenally high rate of crime to begin with, from which to reduce), then why is the US still so far ahead of other countries in crime stats, with their significantly less gun ownership?

By this notion of yours, shouldn't the crime rates in Europe have gone up accordingly?

Have you noticed in all this that guns are not banned outright in most of Europe?

Well your second amendment was an English law first, as was just about everything else. Go figure.

This is what I was responding to pointing out that if it was British law the Brits threw it out in regards to we backward colonials and thus were directly, by violating the principal provided us with both the reason to create the 2nd and an example of what happens without it.
At no point did I argue about UK law as it is as important to me as the law of Barsoom

Not so fast buster....... The British were confiscating arms from those trying to overthrow the Government of the day. How long do you think you could go stand outside the Whitehouse with an AR14 and a banner saying you wanted to overthrow the President.

And lest you forget, all I said was we had the right to bear arms enshrined in law first.

Like I said......go figure.

If the Brits had had the brains to give us one seat in parliament the whole thing would have been defused, of course with that precedent England would now be ruled from India.

And my understanding of history dwarfs yours as I have demonstrated repeatedly.

Debating history with you is like debating philosophy with a 3 year old , not only do you not have a clue but you don't know when you are beaten.

This started with a great example you declared me to have lost an argument that I was not participating in.
