Evidence of self-defense and no evidence to disprove it is precisely why the Sheriff and D.A. refused to arrest and/or file charges against Zimmerman. If it hadn't been for all the typical race-baiters like Al Sharpton and the political connections of Martin's parents attorney (including Eric Holder and Barack Obama), the Sheriff and D.A. would still be working.

He decided to carry a gun on "neighborhood watch" because of vicious dogs?
Are you telling me the police gave him permission to chase and to run after people "he thought looked suspicious", playing a broke down rambo with a gun?
If it was too dangerous for him to do his "neighborhood watch" without a gun, he had no business being out there anyway.

And in response to PowerGamz, no, warning shots are criminally negligent. I throw lead at least 2-3 times a month at my club from a number of positions. I rarely miss. Granted, it's hard to replicate the conditions Z faced, but we do try to use realistic scenarios for practice.

He already has.

Definitely. Even if he's found not guilty, his life is essentially ruined now. He'll have to leave the state, assume a new identity, and hope it takes enough time before he's found out. He'll have every two-bit thug in the US wanted to bust a cap in his ass for their own street cred. If he's found guilty, the brothers inside will make short work of him. Oh yes, that man's life is over, largely thanks to racial politics and the media.
