We also have a Bald Knob here in Australia as well as 'Come By Chance'.........and there is another of those in Newfoundland. There are also a couple of villages I remember in England called 'Little Piddle' and 'Great Piddle'. Thee was also a town near where I lived in Germany for a while, called 'Fuck'. I actually took a pic of my (now ex) wife standing under the town sign *smile*.

I can't think of any towns with funny names, but there are some funny street names: Godown Road, Cherry Bottom Road, and Hard Road. There is also a Licking County -- really. And the hospital there is called Licking Memorial.

In MN, we have a town called Fertile, and one called Climax. I actually read a newspaper headline in a local paper "Fertile Woman Dies in Climax".

No, I'm not kidding.

Don't forget Possum Grape which is right up 67/167 from Bald Knob.

No TNDK didn't make up the name Bald Knob,it is located north and a little east of Little Rock on Hwy 67/167.Not sure how it got it's name but it is right where the flat land of Arkansas ends and the Ozark mountains start.

Hiya Jola ,

How about Shittingbourne Lane in London, where they put the first public convenience in 1840, it's been renamed now. Humourless sods!

Also Cockermouth in Cumbria, the north of England .

I used to live near Pity Me in Durham. When I lived in the south, there was Snodland (which just sounds weird) and Pratt's Bottom.

We have Vintrosa in Sweden, which doesn't sound funny to you until you know that Vin means wine and Trosa means panties. Basically the town is called wine-panties, which is a slang for when middle-aged women get drunk off wine and pee themselves a little.

Let's not omit the immortal Gropecunt Lane in London ... well, it would have been immortal if it hadn't been renamed.

A Kiwi friend of mine visited the States for the first time, and some friends took her to Intercourse, PA. That's close to Bird-In_Hand. And of course Blue Ball.
