the reality IS dead people and shots thru the wall, the fantasy is what if people had been armed

The reality is that he picked a gun-free zone, the fantasy is that resistance would have resulted in even more dead and wounded.

K.

No more of a fantasy than the suggestion of more guns, given the circumstances of gas, panic and multiple rounds, WOULD have resulted in less victims.

At times, re the first, I've blamed the makers and purveyors of bombs and bomb-parts; re the second, government policy on roads, cars and car usage and transport in general and even the makers of cars (for instance, for fixing on unnecessary bull-bars) . . . Just saying.

Your conclusion (read: fantasy) assumes that CCW permit-holders compromised by the gas, or whose vision was obscured by it, would have opened up anyway, and that CCW permit-holders without a clear shot would have opened up anyway, resulting in a wild fusillade of bullets that could only have made things worse.

But you have nothing to support this assumption that CCW permit-holders are a pack of dangerous jackasses, and the facts argue otherwise. So if there is a contest here to see which anti-gunner can reach bottom first, I think you've won it. Much as argument by insult is contemptible, argument by slander trumps it.

If anyone is missing the fucking point, it certainly isnt me.

Your arguments betray a preference for fantasy and dead victims over resistance. You insist against all reason that if an armed citizen had intefered even more people would have been wounded or killed, when it should be obvious that if this rampage been stopped there would have been fewer dead and wounded, even if the effort came at a cost. And just as an added detail, the upward trajectory of rounds fired by a seated defender at a standing shooter would have posed no danger to ducking patrons nearby, or to anyone more distant, nevermind in an adjacent theater.

K.

Utter bollocks........ my preference, clearly stated twice, is for no guns. No guns, no dead people, a simple fact you seem unable to comprehend.

Have you actually read the other thread, the one where trained police have hit bystanders ? So much for me making up assumptions that bystanders dont get hurt. You really should stick to what I say, not what you want me to have said.

Well I can see why you feel that way now, and also why your responses often seem disconnected from what you've actually said. Maybe you better sit down for this: I've posted to that other thread five times so far, and you even answered one of them.

So youve read it and still miss the point. Classic, just classic.
