It was just a question. I know her pretty well.

If you know her pretty well, then why would you make a comment such as this out in the open; why wouldn't you offer your advice in private? Because you are making a very strong ( and negative) statement about an issue that is very personal, and friends (and acquaintances) who posses compassion) simply would not do that.

You haven't posted in almost a year and then you write something that is drenched with malice.

But hey, I believe in truth in advertising and you have accomplished that.

There is also and injection that lasts for about 6 months, but it wouldn't recommend it if you're sensitive to hormones (it made me go absolutely crazy).

I personally preferred IUDs, because you have nothing to worry about with those... until I got pregnant with one. I guess they really mean those "you have a 0.001% chance of getting pregnant with this birth control" stats.

IUD's totally FREAK ME OUT. Several friends and some of My husban's co-workers have had them...and every single one of them had the damn thing pierce their uterus! All it took for it to happen was bending to lift something (a box, the cat, etc), which most people do daily.

they freak me out to i just can't wrap my head around the whole thing. i have a friend who has had one in for 30 years she brought it up because she is having pain down there and when i asked why she didn't go and get it out before something happened she said she tried but is on medicare and they wont cover it.

Well, I'm sorry. It was an honest question. You even stated here that you are unable to take care of yourself so that makes it obvious that you wouldn't be able to take care of a child either...might as well get a tubal instead of risking side effects from birth control. Plus depo has the highest failure rate out of all types of birth control out there.

LittleGirlHeart -> RE: there was a bc pill that you only take like once a week or something (12/5/2013 8:48:55 PM)

If you had left out the clearly can't take care of kids part i would have answered. no point in the sling to the question. if we're going there then your Dom needs fixed, you guys are in no positon to take care of kids mentally fucked up both you two and he's already had one mistake that he can't at the time we talked afford to take care of. Remember knowing me goes both ways, i know you too and you have shared a lot about how fucked up and sometimes unable to function both mentally and pychically and in life itself you guys both are.

I thought about it and i had a class to go hear about it and Calley got cancer results back so instead of the class i focused on her surgery and getting her home.

It's major surgery and so it's not something to rush into lightly and i don't even know if dr's would let me, being 31. It's far simpler for the man to get snipped than a woman to get ligated. men are considered a minor lil process, they're in and out in a hour ish and on their way in a week. it still won't protect me from pregnancy if i get a new partner , but since that's not really on the table, i don't worry to much.

as far as faiure rate never been preggie or scared i was preggie once. and i have had plenty of chances to happen to get preggie. I won't use condoms once i am commited and i trust them and they have had negative STD Checks for a long enough time the likely hood of actually having anything would have shown up by now.

edited to add so 5 years of bare back fucking with one person and 8 years of bare back fucking with another one is, quite effective i'd say. or i am just seriously licky, ubt i'm going with effective.

Why don't you just get a tubal? It's not like you'll ever be able to take care of children.

You came back after a year of not posting for this? Just...stop.

Doesn't look like she got any brighter in that absence either. Perhaps she should try two years this time.

dollparts85 -> RE: there was a bc pill that you only take like once a week or something (12/6/2013 2:51:40 PM)

That's what my ob/gyn told me...she also said it's not as effective in morbidly obese woman. And I've known several woman who have gotten pregnant while on depo.

OK....this is a quick note to EVERYONE on these forums:
Any public disclosure of PERSONAL DRAMA such as this quoted below REQUIRES THAT I FIRST BE PROVIDED WITH POPCORN AND SODA (and a bag of Twizzlers if they happen to be available). I've told all My "real life" friends this as well...I'm not singling out anyone.

Take this type of shit to PM's instead of airing it out for all the rest of us to see scrolling up our left-hand margins. I'm surprised the Mods haven't jumped in and cleaned up the thread.

My doctor actually refused to do any type of birth control besides an IUD due to my weight.

Ladytisha -> RE: there was a bc pill that you only take like once a week or something (12/6/2013 5:20:18 PM)

Stay away from the shot (depo prevo) makes you gain more weight and all types of horrible stuff. the pill should be alright. some do cause weight gain

yeah, but i know people who got preganat on birthcontrol too. so just because we know people who did , is not an indication of how not effective it is, there's always a chance on any method short of completely gutting reproductive organs , and abstinence.

dollparts85 -> RE: there was a bc pill that you only take like once a week or something (12/6/2013 5:25:57 PM)

That's true. But depo really isn't intended for long term use.

LittleGirlHeart -> RE: there was a bc pill that you only take like once a week or something (12/6/2013 7:29:52 PM)

Probably far safer at this point than a major surgery. which tubal ligation is.

dollparts85 -> RE: there was a bc pill that you only take like once a week or something (12/6/2013 9:55:59 PM)

They have a type that doesn't require surgery. I think it's called Essure.

dollparts85 -> RE: there was a bc pill that you only take like once a week or something (12/6/2013 9:57:11 PM)

Here is some info on it. I will likely get it eventually. http://www.womenscenterforhealth.org/services-procedures/womens-health-topics/common-questions

LittleGirlHeart -> RE: there was a bc pill that you only take like once a week or something (12/6/2013 11:06:46 PM)

still a surgery. they have to cut you open put the clamps in and it's still considered mjor. not like wide open guts out gore out but it's still major.
