No, by 'publishers' and 'agents' I mean publishers and agents.
Zimmy would actually have to spend money to self publish, aftef all.

I doubt if there is any state anywhere in America where a person who writes a book about something they did, can have that book seized by the government when they are found not guilty.

That's the only issue at stake there then, and Zimmy's reputation for stupid behaviour and defaulting on his bills wouldn't put off any publishers or agents who can pursue a real celebrity as a client instead?

I do not think the "Coded Dog Whistles" help the discussion. Everyone knows what you mean by it, so why not just be honest with yourself and everyone else and say what you mean in plain English?

Oh good, in typical liberal fashion, when ya wana win arguments with conservatives just call them racists. Good for you guys, right out of the play book.

C.mon Fargle, Trayvon was armed with iced tea (the official beverage of thug wanabes) and Skittles (the official candy of thug wannabes).

He was also armed with his fists (official weapon of thug wannabes). Al Capone liked gormette food, so fuckin what.

Also, if you recall some earlier conversations, Trayvon did poorly in school and back talked his mother . . .
clearly he was a menace to society that needed to be taken out.

I guess you didn't recall he liked to get into fights and steal things, but those clearly aren't traits of people who are menaces to society, they're just youthful indiscretions. But hey, it's cool for Trayvon to beat people up because after all, at least he wasn't packin a gun.

Yes well most of the time trying to win an argument with anyone on this forum is a waste of time.

And no, you didn't call me a racist, fargle clearly implied it and you backed him up.

Then you couldn't make a living from anything artistic.

Well, if they cannot sell their stuff during the first year after publication, they are not likely to ever make a living from it.

And usually such things are first sold and then published. For example: a photographer makes a photograph, then sells it to a newspaper and subsequently the newspaper publishes the photograph. Similarly a sculptor will first sell a sculpture and only afterwards the sculpture is shown in public by the buyer. Similarly a movie is hired out to cinema's and afterwards shown by those cinema's.

So your argument is clearly invalid.

Oh well . . . if he got into fights and stole stuff!!!

AND!!!!

He had two hands which he could use to make fists!!!

Then clearly he was a thug wannabe and needed to be taken out!!!!!

All praise Zimmerman for protecting decent Americans from Skittle wielding, poor school performing, mother back talking, fist possessing, thug wannabes who get into fights and steal stuff as they are walking down the street.

I see the error of my ways now. Every person who doesn't life a life of perfect morality the moment they are born is a thug wannabe and must be shot. No second chances to turn their life around. Once a thug wannabe, always a thug wannabe . . .
well, until the mature into an actual thug. Thank you Zimmerman, may God bless you. America is now a safer and better place because you saw the danger so many of us failed to recognize.

Still, I'm am curious about how Zimmerman recognized this danger to America. I presume Zimmerman can't read minds so what was it about Trayvon that set him apart? What made him realize that this was a thug wannabe
who needed to be stalked, confronted and then shot the moment he got uppity? Hmm . . .

Ok, thank you for the clarification. What is it then about whatever fargle implied, is a TOS violation ? What code and why should whatever it is we're talking about help my conscience ?

You suggested I should ask questions and the only answer I get is more of that code stuff. I'm not asking for help and my conscience is clear. I'm just trying to figure out what you meant.

You can cloud the issue with strawmen all ya want but it only boils down to one thing. If yer gunna beat the crap out a somebody, shit happens.

Keep in mind that in most states, the proceeds of books, etc by criminals are seized to pay the victims. I'm not sure if that applies in Florida or for someone not formally convicted of anything (yet), but he'll figure why chance it? He likely won't bother. Besides, it wouldn't be anything more than a pack of excuses and gratuitous cheap shots at the prosecutor, so it's not like we're missing anything.
[sm=dunno.gif]

I expect if he wanted to move to a country that does not recognize US court rulings (after he is sued and loses) then he would be home free on getting every cent from any books, etc.. its just a matter of setting it up that way in the first place, perhaps as an offshore corp as an extra measure.. just sayin' since imo he is too lazy to go to all that trouble..

The dude is a dangerous loser imo and needs to be given a wide berth.. him writing a book about the trial, etc would be a hornets nest for any publisher willing/stupid enough to take that risk.. jmo..

Winterapple -> RE: Zimmerman's back... (1/27/2014 11:23:48 AM)

FR
I'm surprised he doesn't already have a book deal. It's such a given these days.
My guess is he's been approached but the deals have thus far fallen apart.
Most likely from the publishers thinking he's more trouble than he's worth.
He's also still a bit of unfolding story still. The final implosion hasn't happened yet.
Is there a market for a book from him? Well, someone in his fandom paid
100,000 dollars for a crap painting. Packaged right and right wingly there's
probably a market for a book from him.

Son of Sam laws aren't recognized in all the states but since he
was acquitted he is free to profit from his crime. If the Martins
were to win a civil case against him he wouldn't be able to profit.
The money would go to the Martins.

He is in violation of copyright law with the AP photo. He has to
give credit and compensation. The image belongs to the photographer.

Even if Trayvon initiated the violence (by no means certain) he did so because he felt threatened by a cop wannabe who was hasseling him for no good reason.

You are the one engaging in strawman arguments, suggesting that Trayvon got what was coming to him because he was less than perfect (this is also known as Blaming the Victim). Whatever problems Trayvon may have had in his life, none of it justifies Zimmerman's actions even if he did know about it . . . but he didn't. The fact of the matter is Zimmerman had absolutely no reason to suspect that Trayvon was up to no good (and he wasn't), so why did he?

It all boils down to one thing, if you're going to stalk people for no good reason, shit happens.
