Historically speaking, US Presidents can and have had effects big and small on the various stock exchanges. Both within the United States and foreign markets. The other two branches of the federal government can effect the market in a variety of different ways.

Conservatives point out that Ronald Reagan's economy while down playing George W. Bush's 2nd term failings (which got their start in the 1st term). They have attacked President Obama on everything big and small. They bash him for any failings at the macro level, and are ABSOTELY SILENT when there are gains. Which just shows the level of hypocrisy pretty well to the casual observer.

Facts, tho, are facts. We avoided a Great Depression, banks were recapitalized, the US has outperformed Europe in its recovery, yada yada yada everyone's 401(k) has rebounded tremendously.

You're doubling down on your claim that the president is responsible for our 401ks
