ORIGINAL: DomKen I'm sure the cons will savage the ed board of the NYT but the facts presented are correct: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/23/opinion/sunday/what-the-stimulus-accomplished.html?_r=0 The facts presented are correct? We'll see about that. How's everyone here enjoying the recovery? That piece has the flavor of Kool Aid. But thanks for championing it. Like I said. Can you challenge any of the numbers presented? They have actual facts. Lets see. It created or saved an average of 1.6 million jobs a year for four years. (There are the jobs, Mr. Boehner.) Is that accurate? Well, I accept that it is. Does it support its part of the claim that Government spending worked, helping millions of people who never realized it. Well, again, I accept that. But, is making such claims in the way the article puts it Kool Aid? Yes. All one really needs to do is look at the other numbers, like, say, the US Participation Rate. Or perhaps a chart on disposable income. The article isn't even half the story, yet it concludes with, Government spending worked, helping millions of people who never realized it. I find it humorous you wish to grovel in the muck, challenging as to "having the facts," your touting the piece as if it makes a realistically salient point. Are you enjoying the recovery, DK? Are you actually doing any better?
