I am not certain. I thought I was in the light. But it keeps moving around like a spot light. I chase it, and bing there it goes again! There one second gone the next. I think I am suppose to keep trying. Stay still..................[:D]..........let me know when you figure it out.

Marc2b did liken the thread to an acid trip I recall and there is foundation for this because it is my understanding that this is in a sense what Saint Augustine observed and part of my interest in his work. I understand Saint Augustine referred to it as the hall of mirrors.

Buddhists I believe also speak of mirrors.

Yes I have figured it out.

The devil speaks in half truths and will attempt to create an illusion where you are encouraged to believe that things of God are not of God and of the devil.

Drugs lie.

God does not. You have to work for it and there is no hang over, quite the opposite.
Oh and its real, not delusional.

Yes.

What you did not realize fully was that humanism though it shares some common ground with Christianity is ungodly. You were very much under the spell of humanism.

When you get a chance, can you explain the hall of mirrors? I am not getting it.

One way to put it I suppose is that God has many faces. For example, God can be pleasant, but can also be a disciplinarian which is not so pleasant. If you think of God as only having a single face, you would be inclined to believe that God in the role of a disciplinarian is the devil, but this is not the case.

Yes.

Are you sure? You wouldn't believe the hangovers I've had on communion wine...

Trying to understand God is similar in some respects to trying to understand quantum mechanics. I will provide you with an example which concerns Padre Pio.

The phenomenon of bilocation is one of the most remarkable gifts attributed to Padre Pio. ...

Yet another example is what happens if you try to figure out if God is a liberal or a conservative.

Moonhead -> RE: What good is morality anyway? (4/8/2014 9:07:34 AM)

The notion that morality only descends from God is more than a little offensive.

chatterbox24 -> RE: What good is morality anyway? (4/8/2014 9:12:15 AM)

Pretty sure, but well see, we use grape juice to make sure.[:D]

The notion that morality only descends from God is more than a little offensive.

It is nonetheless factual.

Care to show your working out for that one?
All morality requires is a little empathy.

I am well aware that I used the word factual and not opinion or belief. It is not opinion. It is not belief. It is a fact.

This is not factually correct.
