Status: offline 		One of the main reasons I'd have to say is most who identify as slave or sub want that face to face interactions and dynamic. For some people online is their cup of tea yet for others it isn't.

Status: offline 		It's incredibly easy for someone who wants an online-only relationship to find a dominant male. So those that are seeking need to really stand out from the crowd.

Look at your profile - can you, hand on heart, say that it shouts 'I am the online dom for you!'? Does it single you out as being something special, someone other than the run-of-the-mill married guy looking for a bit on the side?

Or does it say 'I'm mostly a submissive male who may, on occasion, fancy a bit of domination'?

That might be your starting point.

For the most part, women of any stripe have no need for online interactions. We're inundated with men willing to spend quality time with us in person.

Women in the lifestyle are usually very discerning. Some anonymous internet dude calling himself sub or slave and wanting online interaction is equivalent in worth to exactly one grain of sand on the longest beach in the world. We're women first, kinky second and expect to be approached as such. We have the same needs and desires for real relationships as other women. To assume differently would indicate typical porn contamination.

I like to touch my partner. I like to do other activities with him beside kink. Frankly, I want to spend less time online overall.

There are no shortcuts other than paying, which you state you don't wish to do. I suggest you step away from your keyboard and get involved with your local kink community. You can find groups near you on FetLife. I didn't check your age, but if you are between 18-35, there might be a TNG (the next generation) group in your area.

An FYI: if you find a 'domme' willing to goof about online without compensation, chances are whoever is on the other side of the screen is a man. Ask yourself if this really matters or not...after all, it's JUST online.

Status: offline 		Speaking for myself, I have no interest in having an on-line dom. It's the real deal for me, a live, in-person D/s relationship or nothing. As Myotherself mentioned, on-line doms are not hard to come by so you will have to really attract their attention. Ask yourself what do you have to offer a sub/slave that the many other on-line doms don't have.

There is nothing appealing about spanking myself or masturbating for someone I don't have a real-time relationship with.

I also don't get involved with switches. I'm monogamous and it wouldn't be fair to either of us as I wouldn't be able to satisfy his submissive side.

Too bad he's not bi or gay; he'd be rolling in online offers. As it is, he may yet find a 'domme' of dubious gender if he doesn't screen too well...or care.

A lot of subs are wise to the fact that a lot(notice I didn't go so far as to say "all") of online dudes are married & that drives 'em away. Also, I'm just not sure how a person can either really serve or dominate online anyway, unless you're talking cybersex and a lot of people just aren't into that. They want the real time contact with their partner, not just pixels on a screen.

It's not. The last I checked it was trivially easy. Try SecondLife where there is a rampant BDSM & Gor community all doing virtual kink online.

Joel, on-line Doms are a dime a dozen. I guess you've already figured out you can't get a Domme to give you a free camshow.
From what I understand, the ones who do that sort of thing are CFNM-Clothed Female Naked Male, and you'll have to pay upfront for the privilege.
