They weren’t helpless victims — they were Golden Girls gone wild!

The elderly residents of a Long Island nursing home decided on their own to throw a spring-break-style male-stripper party in the facility’s rec room — and the old ladies loved every last bump and grind, a lawyer for the facility claimed Tuesday.

A leadership group of more than a dozen residents at the East Neck Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Babylon approved the bawdy bacchanal by laying out $250 of their own funds to hire the dirty dancer, the attorney said.

Yep, this one will push Marbury and Brown right out of the history books.

Frankly, it sounds way more fun than Bingo!

her SON decided it was inappropriate.

really annoys the f$ck out of me when family members decide that parents aren't allowed to have a sex life/thoughts in their 'elderly' years.

nursing homes are only JUST starting to allow husband and wives - often married 40+ yrs, to sleep in the same room in a nursing home. and now some wretched prudish son who can't bear to think his inheritance may be going into a g-string, or that his mother still has carnal thoughts, pulls in a lawyer to shame his mother.

grrrrrrr (this pushes my buttons in a bad way)

Here in the UK, elderly couples requiring care are encouraged to remain together provided they can find a home that can accommodate them as a couple. There aren't that many accommodations that can, which is a tremendous shame. One thing is clear, however, we as a society still frown on the elderly having sex and it defies belief that they do face this discrimination. We forget these are people who have led full, productive lives and just because they are now elderly it doesn't mean that they should give up feeling sexual. there is this propensity to treat them as children.

We have a couple of cases going on here currently wherein the managers of two unrelated homes have allowed their residents the right to have someone come in to cater for their sexual needs and in the privacy of their private room. Yet, the managers face having their careers in ruins as their professional integrity is called into question.

A requirement of person centred care is that the residents can expect a holistic approach to their care, part of which maintains their legal entitlement to autonomy and right to dignity. I see very little of this in practice.

I doubt this about that. I think sonny boy thinks he sees a payday.

It's fairly common. Keep them as physically inactive and mentally unstimulated as possible and the family gets their financial reward sooner.

I noticed in the article that daughter in law was apparently seated next to Mom during the festivities (and caught on camera) - son says that it doesn't matter LOL
