ORIGINAL: Rasciallymisty Aye Shaher....I have always been a cat lover but after Fluffy passed on I decided not to get another cat for awhile. LOL we thought Fluffy was a she.....we took her into to be fixed. The vet called and asked..."Is your cats name Fluffy? I said yes, is there a problem.....he said I would love to spayed your cat but it would seem she is a he....would you like us to neutered him for you??? "
That exact same thing happened to me! Two starving, emaciated kittens literally showed up on my doorstep a couple years ago. I planned to feed them and find homes, but of course, got too attached to them and decided to keep them. One was definitely male, the other was a little dubious, but I decided it was female because of body shape and personality. And he just didn't strut his stuff like the other one did, you know what I mean? lol I took them to a low-cost clinic for a spay and a neuter. It ended up being a neuter and a neuter, lol. I had told them ahead of time that I wasn't positive the female was a female, and sure enough, when I arrived, they laughed and said, "Guess what? Lizzie's a boy!" It was just as well, it cost less for the neuter, lol. And his name is now Izzy. Friend of mine has gone a bit over board. He and his SO have 9 cats they care for. not only $100's in food every few months...several strays that keep 'coming home.' $1000's in surgery from fights etc. Too much for me, especially if they don't...stay home.
