Seriously OP, you are in the position (and have the know-how) of mixing in circles with strangers.
A munch would be a perfect way of meeting others in an ordinary setting where they also happen to have various kinks.
There isn't a right way or a wrong way; everyone deals with grief differently.
Take your time and at your own pace.
Things will eventually just fall into place.
