Greta - the hypothetical is the part where he says, "would be" like this. A vanilla guy might approach a woman saying, "With me, you'd be wearing gowns and diamonds and touring the world." Or, "with me, you'd shed your belongings and share my tent, be all natural." Depends on how classy or earthy the guy is. So, mnottertail sort of fits a D version of natural guy. It's brassier in D/s form, for some.

mnottertail - You've been around here long enough to know what offends. I find myself wondering why you would choose to offend a woman if you really had sincere interest.

OP - please don't confuse "bossy" with "dominant." One's about getting more for the self and the other is about accepting responsibility for another.

beserker means hair-shirted by the way for all you non-PC (people of the cold countries, as in Scandinavia)

He has thrown in alot of compliments in the whole spew yes. But I think the issue is that, the part where he said, it's now a compliment is because he mistaken her real hair as fake hair, it means her hair was so perfect that it looked fake. But that's not complimentary for a woman to hear that her hair looks like fake hair. Just saying!
This is like such a typical clueless male faux pas!
But of course clueless male is saying that a woman has issues if she is gonna get upset with that sentence.

No, it is not a faux pas, he was under the assumption that the woman he sent the email to, might actually have a sense of humor. You know, read the email and go, hey, this guy who is white by the way, sent me an entire email sounding black. Made some snarky comments, and said some interesting things. But apparently, what he got was don't ever try to be creative because sense of humor just wasn't there?

For me, this surprises me of mnottertail because he has been long enough here and I had the expectation that he would have the experience to charm the socks off women haha, clearly many people are familiar with him, so those who knows him already know he wouldn't have any nasty intentions, but from a point of view of someone who is completely new and not familiar with him yet, and just judging from that statement alone without knowing his history would definitely take offense big time. Just saying!

I don't understand the second part though. Do you mean that the fact you wrote to a woman at all counts for something, regardless of what was said? Or, do you mean something else?

From my background, your communication style on these posts would be considered, crass and provocative. A bawdy sense of humor helps to enjoy some of your posts (and I have one), so sometimes, I fall off the proverbial stool laughing. However, I can see how that may work against you in an initial contact. I think that happened here. But, Dude... shut up about women's hair until they ask you to comment, and then lie!

OP, men being insensitive about women's appearances seems to be inborn. I think the ones who don't step in it, have gone out of their way to acquire savvy and charm and diplomacy. Talk about things that don't come naturally. LOL

Haha, you could have simply said all that sweet stuffs you initially said without mentioning about her hair, unless you simply want to tell her that her hair is beautiful, without any comment about it possibly being weave. That would have charmed her for sure!
