I never used the words: "offensive" or "negative". What I said was that a statement in the OP seemed to be rather intolerant.

I tend to agree with Stephen Fry when it comes to the words "offended" or "offensive". They've been over-used so much that they're meaningless (almost).

When a person makes a statement about experiencing intolerance and then, goes on to make an intolerant statement, the reader is forced to wonder if they're dealing with a chicken or an egg. I pointed this out as a possible "fix" to the problem that the OP posted about.

There are any number of people on here that don't understand why people don't just compromise and do things their way. That's unfortunate but I think it's kind of human nature.

Combating intolerance with intolerance seems counter-productive, at best.

Yes, the OP was about experiencing negativity towards monogamy in the BDSM community. And the OP asked for people's experience and guidance, which she got. But for a monogamous woman to say she considers herself a "good girl" is not, in my opinion, offensive to anyone. And the word "casual" is not offensive, or even inherently negative... unless you infer the person's attitude in using it, which I think may have been too freely done here.

It's funny how you seem quite ready to jump on someone for being intolerant when your comments and attitude and compatible and infinitely intolerant. I'm done with this thread. Believe me I'd close it if it were possible, I was just sincerely reaching out to express a feeling. I've seen a lot of negativity (yes negativity ) on these boards which makes me sad. I'm still someone relatively inexperienced and having a forum like this where people can reach out to others who understand would be such a good resource. This isn't an easy road to navigate alone and I can't exactly reach out to people in my life when I have a question regarding such things. People preach of accepting people's kinks or lifestyle choices then it should go in every direction. Fortunately I've actually received some support and advice from more experienced people despite the overwhelming negativity from certain individuals. If bullying or chastising girls in online forums is the highlight of your day I'm sorry for you. Namaste.
