Just a heads up. Many people have recently and have always been able to use Tor or a proxy to come in with new nicknames, to play games. Not just one person. I am not allowing that name to be used to dig at anyone or strike fear upon the masses. [8|] While staff does work on minimizing these incidents, it would be wonderful if others would work with our attempts to not allow members to continuously bring up the names of those that might suffer an illness, forever and a day.

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

I am curious if you could explain what you are talking about to someone like me who has no comprehension what you said.

There used to be a poster who had a bout of extreme sockpupetry, which caused way more drame than you would expect, who people suspect may have returned recently.

This was in response to my post #500.
There is no name in it.
I do not remember using a name in it, and it does not appear to have been edited....

What exactly did I do? I'm mystified

PeonForHer -> RE: Bergdahl (6/14/2014 7:32:48 PM)

M3 wasn't responding to your post, ts. It was a comment to all.

angelikaJ -> RE: Bergdahl (6/14/2014 8:40:19 PM)

He left base 2 other times prior to this.
Once in CA and there was an earlier incident in Afghanistan.
Neither of those were viewed as treason.
So, why are you seeing this as different?

And then there is the not insignificant matter of his 'washing out' of the Coast Guard.
It may be that he simply wasn't suited for the rigors of military service.

truckinslave -> RE: Bergdahl (6/15/2014 7:51:30 AM)

TY
Damn! I coulda had a V-8

truckinslave -> RE: Bergdahl (6/15/2014 7:55:46 AM)

I have not, I think, specifically called BB's actions treason. I have said that if he was sane at the time he left his post his actions constitute desertion.

The definition(s) of desertion have been posted in several parts of this thread, notably inlcuding posts by thirdwheelwanted.

thompsonx -> RE: Bergdahl (6/15/2014 8:45:47 AM)

I just cant give a fuck about his rehabilitation; and neither should anyone else.

Well of course not.
How else could you slam the president if this man is innocent of what you and other chairborn rangers accuse him of.

That would be your ignorant unsubstantiated opinion

You and they have been informed more than once that they and you are full of shit. Until you or they can post something to prove their claim you both will remain full of shit.
While the ucmj says "xyz" neither of you have been able to show that "xyz" has been exercised in the past 60 years.

If it wasn't desertion the first 2 times then why is it now?

I wonder if you may have any sympathy for someone who probably shouldn't have been there because he wasn't fit for duty in the first place?
This may come as a surprise but not everyone has the resiliency to handle being in the military.
One doesn't need to be "insane" to make less than rational decisions.
My posting on this forum may be proof of that. [8D]

Because before we weren't in an election year.

Here it is in a nutshell:

0bama0, in total disobedience of the law, in complete defiance of decades of strategy requiring that we not negotiate with terrorists, has traded 5 terrorist leaders for our lone defector in the Afghan war. His father Bob (who recently deleted a tweet reading" I am still working to free all Guantanamo prisoners. God will repay for the death of every Afghan child, ameen"), speaking at the press conference at which 0bama0 announced his treason, quoted the Koran in Arabic: “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim” —which means “In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate.”

Only a fool can doubt that the enemy is not just inside the wire but inside the White House.

Who the FUCK is ObamaO?

Funny how those glasses of yours work, Muse...

I disagree. I think this would be a thing, regardless of election season. It's been about as public a spectacle as you are likely to get, given the choice of the President to have a Rose Garden event to announce it, and the National Security Advisor hitting the Sunday shows to spin it. We paid a high (and risky) price to get Sgt. Bergdahl back, and the circumstances of his capture are extemely questionable.

Most of the national conversation is taking place among people who have no military experience. Gee. They Googled up Article 85. Translate that as "being talked about in ignorance." Try as hard as you can, and you aren't going to pin a particular partisan label on the folks in this thread who keep saying "it's a little more complicated that." Am I a lib, or is Ken a righty? Good luck with that. Good luck calling Diane Feinstein a Republican, too.

I have wondered that myself, Lookie, but considering the source, I've decided I don't care. It's not all that hard to speak of the President in a way that still respects the office, and I'll vent about it once in a while, but compared to the way Bush II was commonly spoken of, this is pretty damn mild.

Then there are the air farce pogues with the hutzpa to claim that they actually know something about infantry combat[8|]
