The Statler Brothers - Do You Remember These ?- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZrS5A-C_gM&feature=player_embedded

Listen to the song and then share what you remember that is just a memory.
The penny postcard.
John and Robert Kennedy on TV
Cars named Hudson, Opel, Tucker and Pierce-Arrow
The Chicago Seven

Limit five memories per posting. Let someone else have a turn, then come back with more and different things that are just a memory today.

I remember how much fun I had as a kid growing up in small town Wisconsin. We actually rode our bikes and played baseball. My favorite Statler Bros. song though is ' Class of 57'...

A record label "49th State" several years before Hawaii became a state.
Hawaii was a territory ... not a state. It was considered overseas duty. I was living there back then.
Alaska was a territory also.

OMG, an Opel Kadett was my very first car (thanks Bro, here's my $400)! It had to be bump/jump started EVERY SINGLE TIME. I always carried jumper cables and parked at the top of an incline if possible.
